Airplanes is a little better than Nothin' On You but I'm yet to really get into it yet. Scouting For Girls are alright, I can't believe Katy is doing so well though.
A lot of movement in the Top 10, as Katy Perry storms into the Top 5! "California Gurls" now peaks at #4!! WOW! she is the favourite to be the next Itunes #1! and it could happen very soon!
Here is the current Top 20:
01.Usher - OMG! (7th full day at #1) 02.B.O.B & Hayley Williams - Airplanes (New Peak, that's high enough!) 03.Taio Cruz - Break Your Heart (Former #2 peak) 04.Katy Perry - California Gurls (New Peak, awaiting #1) 05.B.O.B & Bruno - Nothin' On You (Former #2, sales decline) 06.Brian McFadden - Just Say So (Former #1 peak) 07.Eminem - Not Afraid (Former #1, sales decline WTF!!) 08.Train - Hey, Soul Sister (Former #1 peak, too long in the Top 10!) 09.Adam Lambert - Whataya Want From Me (Former #5 peak) 10.Lady Gaga - Alejandro (Former #2 peak) 11.Yolanda - We No Speak Americano (New Peak, who are you people?) 12.Kesha - Your Love Is My Drug (Former #11 peak) 13.Vanessa Amorosi - Mr.Mysterious (Former #3 peak) 14.Jason DeRulo - Ridin' Solo (Former #7 peak) 15.David Guetta, Chris & Fergie - Gettin' Over You (still stalled) 16.Chiddy Bang! - Opposite of Adults (Former #14 peak) 17.Sean Kingston & Justin Bieber - Eenie Meenie Miming Mo 18.Kevin Rudolf - I Made It (Former #2 peak) 19.Justin Bieber - Baby (Former #2 peak) 20.30H!3 & Kesha - My First Kiss (stalled! for too long at peak)
I think Katy Perry could take over as a short #1 too, but I think Airplanes is more of a stayer and could take over in the coming weeks.
FFTL is so much better than 3 Words. FFTL ran circles around 3 Words all throughout the European charts. This is confirming that Australia is very much influenced moreso by American than British music. With a rise in airplay I hope it can climb up the iTunes chart, and with its 2 versions charting atm that would probably be the equivalent of a standalone #60 placing?
Wow, that was a complete guess, I can't even see the popularity bars. The new iTunes is nowhere near as good as the old but I need the new as my partners iPod isn't compatible with the older iTunes
FFTL peaked at #4 on my chart but it's been in for a total of around 6 months which is quite an achievement. 3 Words managed #8 but only spent around 2-3 months in.
yes you are 392, i most deffinately cant hear the resemblance, i think your just trying to pick on songs that you dont like
i love CG, cant wait for it to go #1 , is anyone else noticing that we have still yet to have a #1 stint, our longest was a 5-weeker (fireflies) this year.
We haven't, yet Brandon complains of a song that's been #1 for 3 weeks a 'longevity' issue.
#1s this year are extremely short compared to last year.
Last year we had 5 songs stay #1 for over 6 weeks (Right Round (7), Boom Boom Pow (6), I Gotta Feeling (7), Sexy Bitch (7), and Tik Tok (8)) and that's not including Love Story's 11 week run at #2.
Most of the above songs were crap and I do sound silly complaining but I think Brandon need's to reconsider his annoying "longevity issues"
Anyway, here's the top 20 bandit.fm download chart.
1. Christina Aguilera - Not Myself Tonight (Bandit is doing a special discount. It is $0.49 ) 2. Usher - OMG 3. Brain Mcfadden - Just Say So 4. Jason Derulo - Ridin Solo 5. Vanessa Amarosi - Mr Mysterious 6. Train - Hey Soul Sister 7. Justin Bieber - Baby 8. B.o.B - Nothing On You 9. Timbaland - If We Ever Meet Again 10. B.o.B (again ) - Airplanes (New debut) 11. Eminem - Not Afraid (New Debut) 12. Kesha - Your Love Is My Drug 13. Jason Derulo - In My Head 14. Chiddy Bang - Opposite of Adults 15. Stan Walker - Unbroken 16. Rihanna - Rude Boy 17. Florence + The Machine - You've Got The Love 18. John Mayer - Heartbreak Warfare 19. Owl City - Fireflies 20. Cheryl Cole - 3 Words
Would You Raise Your Hands - Rogue Traders (Great song by the way) has jumped 140 spots into the top 60 thanks to their performance at the logies and on Hey Hey!
You always sorta confuse me Alley, as you mention NZ as you, but are on AU site, and then sometime seem to mention AU as you xD. I get what you mean though.
I Find her look to be fake to honest Brandon and I dislike her music. I Got to hear California Gurls for the 1st time today and to be honest I found it boring. Sorry. Last edited:
California Gurls is a dissapointment! It does sound like the music Ke$ha has recently provided. On the radio they played the new track as a layer over Tik Tok and the entire layout of the song is highly similar. Katy Perry burst onto the scene with a novelty track I Kissed A Girl... which guess what Jill Sobule did a decade earlier. Both Thinking Of You & Waking Up In Vegas were weak offerings. To Katy Perry's credit i think Hot 'N' Cold was a fine pop tune and her input into Starstrukk with 3OH!3 was also enjoyable. I also think If We Ever Meet Again is okay but i think if any thing not right is Timbaland's fault. As a general consensus, with so many female artists on show i think Katy Perry is a much weaker artist in comparison to Madonna, Kylie Minogue, Cher, Britney Spears, Chrisitna Aguilera & Lady GaGa. I want her to dissolve as i think it's just there for some novelty plus her live performnaces are lacking.
Not a fan of Katy's new song either. This ain't a patch on her first two singles. Am getting into that new BoB tune after finding it boring at first. Yolanda Be Cool has cracked the Top 10 and there's another version at #95.
After only 7 non-consecutive days at #1, Usher falls to #2 and i'm shocked, after such a short time at the top, he deserves a lot of more days at #1. A rebound is possible for "OMG!", but hopefully after his promotional performance on Sunrise this Monday morning, sales should recover i hope. B.O.B & Hayley Williams move up to #1, how long will they last at #1? Katy Perry's "California Gurls" is still at #3, and will hopefully peak at #1 soon, it would be nice to see another female artist at #1 again.
01.B.O.B & Hayley Williams - Airplanes (New Peak, 1st day at #1)
02.Usher - OMG! (Former #1 peak, a rebound is still possible)
03.Katy Perry - California Gurls (sales stalled for a while, still awaiting #1)
18.30H!3 & Kesha - My First Kiss (New Peak)
100.Travie McCoy - Billionaire (New Peak, Fantastic video clip, excellent vocals and song concept. Travie McCoy is Katy Perry's ex-boyfriend, why has his name been changed to Travie instead of Travis? i prefer Travis)
Katy Perry is so amazing! very talented, successful and attractive! a love all the songs she released.
My Top 7 hits:
01.I Kissed A Girl (Global #1 hit that is her signature song!) 02.Hot N Cold (Commercially successful, Grammy nominated track) 03.Thinking of You (fantastic video, vocals and concept) 04.Waking Up In Vegas (excellent video clip) 05.Starstruckk feat. 3OH!3 (deserved to be a worldwide #1) 06.If We Ever Meet Again feat. Timbaland (Global Itunes hit) 07.California Gurls (tipped to be #1 around the world)
Katy Perry is a no talent wannabe who's claim to fame was being a preachers daughter. Ever since her perfomances a few years back on the MVA's & EMVA's i've disliked her. I think Nateboi hit the nail right on the head
My brother thinks Yolanda sounds like on of those songs that is being played on Sesame Street . You know when they have that number of the day and they continuously yell out the number
YES!!! THANK B.o.B IS #1!!!
Bye bye Usheer, please come out with better songs.
OMG seems to be the only current song I can play on repeat on my iPod without getting sick of it at all. There are many better songs but I play OMG a lot and its very catchy, it looks to be very high on my personal this week.
No I don't I haven't watched that for ages anton but I guess what you mean xD.
I don't actually keep track of the chart of the chart but here is the current (today's) top 20 anyway:
1. Christina Aguilera - Not Myself Tonight 2. Brain Mcfadden - Just Say So 3. Usher - OMG 4. Jason Derulo - Ridin Solo 5. B.o.B - Airplanes 6. Vanessa Amarosi - Mr Mysterious 7. Train - Hey Soul Sister 8. B.o.B - Nothing on You 9. Eminem - Not Afraid 10. Justin Bieber - Baby 11. Timbaland - If We Ever Meet Again 12. Ke$ha - Your Love Is My Drug 13. Chiddy Bang - Opposite of Adults 14. Katy Perry - California Gurls (NEW I think) 15. Stan Walker - Unbroken 16. Jason Derulo - In My Head 17. John Mayer - Heartbreak Warfare 18. 3OH!3 - My First kiss 19. Kevin Rudolf - I Made It 20. Jet - Seventeen
sales recovery? i think its way too late for this. you could even say another song affected by the lack of a music video in time with the release of the song. i.e. telephone.
As predicted, Usher has returned to the #1 position, where he belongs. He is currently in the country for a promo tour, and performed "OMG" on Sunrise and Hey Hey! fantastic live vocals, very impressive and entertaining to watch.
After only 5 full days at #1, B.O.B & Hayley's song "Airplanes" falls to #2, a short stay at the top, OMG! oh well. My forecast is that the song will slip down to #3, and Katy Perry will peak at #2 soon. The "California Gurls" is rumoured to be released on Friday 11th June, can't fuckin wait. David Guetta's "Gettin Over You" video is out now!
************************************************** Top 5 Review:
01.Usher - OMG! (Return to prominence, 8th full day at #1, sales rebound due to promo tour performances, YES! securing a 3rd week at #1 on Aria next week)
Brandon i like your chart commentary but it is a bit biased if OMG was a song you didn't like it would be a longevity issue... and songs you don't like don't deserve to be near the top.. You a crazy to consider Katy Perry is even worth charting at #1 it doesn't even deserve top 10.
"OMG" is a really good song, popular in the clubs too, do you like music from Katy Perry and Usher?
Yes it would be a longevity issue if i disliked a song, that's true.
Katy Perry could possibly peak at #1 with "California Gurls", she is at #1 on Itunes in many other countries as well. The song has potential to be a #1 hit.
My thoughts on Katy Perry are in another thread.. Usher is a talented performer with a top voice. From his first big impression You Make Me Wanna you knew there was so much star power. 8701 upped the anti and was solid and enjoyable to listen. It wasn't until Confessions did we see Usher shine from Yeah to Burn it was impressive... Here I Stand was average and i think this was due to some time off the music scene. OMG is an improvement but it is still lacklustre in comparison to awesomeness that is Usher in full flight... So if i want a memory of Usher creating chart history i want it to be a credible and enjoyable moment that isn't OMG. If we have learnt anything from popular music over the years is that song doesn't have to be the best to perform miracles on world charts [California Gurls].
Yeah is #37 at the moment. As much as I love the song I hate the impact a (gay) TV show has on the charts making a #1 hit from 2004 re-enter in the top forty six years later. Plus, it wasn't a failure #1, it was the Billboard #1 of the 2000's (I think).
1. Usher - OMG (Back at #1, YES, better then Airplanes) 2. B.O.B Feat Paramore Girl - Airplanes (Sales decline) 3. Katy Perry - California Gurls (Thats high enough, drop already) 4. Yolanda Be Cool - We No Speak Americano (NO thats enough, STOP going up) 5. Taio Cruz - Break Your Heart (Slight drop, good) 6. B.O.B - Nothin' On You (Consistant sales) 7. Ke$ha - Your Love Is My Drug (Slight sales boom) 8. Glee Cast - Total Eclipse Of The Heart (WTF!!!!!, WHY!!!) 9. Lady Gaga - Alejandro (Steady Sales) 10. Train - Hey, Soul Sister (Slight drop, go back up please) 11. Brain McFadden - Just Say So (Sales decline, not good) 12. Jason DeRulo - Ridin' Solo (Steady Sales) 13. Eminem - Not Afraid (Sales slump, former #1, steady in teens)
cant be tamed @ #76, lets see how it goes, i predicted it to be a #1 hit! (its #1 US itunes btw, so i might of been one of the only people to guess it right xD) SO leeeets go !!!
That Miley tune is crap but it'll probably go Top 10. Surprised that Alejandro is moving back up, especially since it was close to drop below #10 a few days ago.
Usher's OMG is charting at #1, #15 & #158. It will be #1 again next sunday.
I watched Glee last night, making it episodes 1-4, 13 and 17 that I've seen. The stuff about Sue's recording of Physical was LMAO by the way. Their version of Total Eclipse was really bad though.
01.Usher - OMG! (Happy 13th day at #1!, securing him a 4th week at #1) 02.B.O.B & Hayley - Airplanes (Former #1 peak) 03.Katy Perry - California Gurls (still awaiting rise to #2)
12.Miley Cyrus - Can't Be Tamed (New Peak)
One of the best songs of her career to date, i also liked her previous hits "See You Again" and "7 Things". The video concept is amusing, the vocals sound powerful and remind me of Mandy Moore.
36.Travie McCoy & Bruno Mars - Billionaire (New Peak)
Fantastic! love the vocals, and an interesting song concept and video! notice the name change, he used to be "Travis", now it's "Travie", WTF!! why did he change one letter in his name??
60.Cheryl Cole - Fight For This Love (New Peak, rapid sales surge, up from #74)
Finally, a breakthrough for Cheryl Cole!, what took so long? The song previously peaked at #67, and was charting for a month between positions #95 to #70, and now it peaks at #60. The sales zoom probably occured due to increased radio airplay, peaking at #64 on the Airplay chart. The new peak might secure her a debut in the Aria Top 50 next week! YES please!
it wont be top 50 for a few weeks i think, but when it does it will no doubt be a smash, just its taking a while to get to those who like music but arent fanatics
01.Usher - OMG! (sales rebound) 02.Katy Perry - California Gurls (Former #1 peak) 03.Miley Cyrus - Can't Be Tamed (Former #1 peak) 04.Kesha - Your Love Is My Drug (Former #2 peak) 05.Lady Gaga - Alejandro (Former #3 peak) 06.Taio Cruz - Break Your Heart 07.La Roux - Bulletproof (New Peak!!) 08.Train - Hey, Soul Sister 09.Black Eyed Peas - Rock That Body (New Peak) 10.Sean Kingston & Justin Bieber - Eenie Meenie Minie Mo
01.Usher - OMG! (14th full day at #1) 02.B.O.B & Hayley - Airplanes (Former #1 peak) 03.Yolanda Be Cool - We No Speak Americano (New Peak WTF!! why are you in the Top 3?)
08.Lady Gaga - Alejandro (Former #2 peak, sales recovery!! up from #10, securing her a re-entry into the Aria Top 10, awaiting video release)
Top 10 Dropout:
After nearly 4 months in the Top 10, which is such a long time!! "Hey, Soul Sister" falls to #11, a long awaited exit.
There was a brief sales recovery, but unfortunately it's over for Xtina, what a chart fiasco!
Fans managed to make the song peak at #11 in April, and now it plummets out of the Top 30. I doubt that the sales will recover again. The song was a Top 10 Radio Airplay smash hit, peaking at #6! Yay! that's a good thing.
Stalled at #22 for a 2nd week on the Aria charts, not a chance that it will peak higher, but at least it surpassed the #26 peak that "Keeps Gettin' Better" reached. Let's hope that the 2nd single will have potential to be a #1 hit.
LMAO @ your commentary. I don't know Yolanda is top 3. I hate it!
Good to see Train finally leaving the iTunes top 10, but it'll still be in the ARIA top 10 on Sunday, and maybe for another week after that.
@Anton; she very well could debut, last week the song was in the 70's and 80's on iTunes yet still rose from #64 to #54 on ARIA, this week it's much higher on iTunes so could very well be in the 40's.
just heard through xtinas leaked album, maybe only 3 or 4 standouts, and out of 18 thats horrid
Desnudate is pretty cool. Prima Donna - best upbeat song on the album, and its done to XTINA standard you lost me - is prob the best track on the album this girl needs to keep to ballads sometimes All i need - very good Sex for breakfast - quite a nice little tune I am - also one of the betters not myself tonight - meh woohoo - pretty catchy, grows
while almost all the ballads on this album are great, shes lost her voice in the upbeat ones i feel,
The album is half up beat, half ballad, most the upbeats suck, and the ballads are great, so there ya go! Last edited:
Fireflies, Hey Soul Sister, Replay, In My Head, Memories, Rude Boy, Telephone, Blah Blah Blah, Tik Tok, I Like That, Bad Romance and OMG have all sold over 100,000 copies so far this year. Just Say So, 3 Words and Baby are a week or 2 off doing it as well. Last edited:
Yes but in the last 2 weeks OMG has sold over 45000 copies compared to about 20000 for Just Say So. I think it is 103,000 for OMG and 95,000 for Just Say So.
wow, what is up with Train's sudden massive drop down to #17 now,i don't think it will be top 10 this week,i think Ridin Solo and Alejandro will outsell it.
01.Katy Perry - California Gurls (return to #1, sales rebound) 02.Usher - OMG! (Former #1 peak) 03.Kesha - Your Love Is My Drug (Former #2 peak) 04.Glee Cast - Poker Face (Glee Cast Version) 05.La Roux - Bulletproof (New Peak, a breakthrough hit!) 06.Lady Gaga - Alejandro (Former #2 peak) 07.Taio Cruz - Break Your Heart (Former #1 peak) 08.Miley Cyrus - Can't Be Tamed (Former #1 peak) 09.Glee Cast - Bad Romance (Glee Cast Version) 10.Black Eyed Peas - Rock That Body
Glee was crap in the first place anyway. Them covering Lady Gaga has just placed them in my top 3 for "Worst TV show of all time" and they are now 2nd behind Kesha for "Worst Artist Of All Time" (Yes they are losing to Lady Gaga )
1. Your Love Is My Drug - Kesha :O (Sharp Sales Surge) 2. OMG - Usher (Steady, #1 Peak) 3. Airplanes - B.o.B ft. Hayley Williams (Steady #2 peak) 4. Ridin Solo - Jason Derulo (Steady, peak #3) 5. California Gurls - Katy Perry ft. Snoop Dogg (Small Sales Surge, new peak) 6. Just Say So - Brain Mcfadden (Sales Decline, former #1) 7. Nothing On You - B.o.B ft Bruno Mars (Slow sales decline, #2 peak (I think)) 8. Hey Soul Sister - Train (Steady but slow sales decline, former #1) 9. Not Afraid - Eminem (Stalled at Peak, unable to rise) 10. Neutron Star Collision - Muse :O (Sales BOOM! + Debut) 11. Baby - Justin Bieber (Slow Sales Decline, former #2-3ish peak) 12. My First Kiss - 3OH!3 ft Kesha (Small sales increase, new peak) 13. Mr. Mysterious - Vanessa Amarosi (Sales Decline, peak #4-ish) 14. Jessie's Girl - Glee Cast (Debut) 15. Unbroken - Stan Walker (Steady Sales, #14 peak) 16. Opposite of Adults - Chiddy Bang (Very small sales decline peak #11) 17. Seventeen - Jet (Steady, Stalled at peak) 18. If We Ever Meet Again - Timbaland ft Katy Perry (Sales Decline, former #4 peak) 19. In My Head - Jason Derulo (Slow sales decline) 20. Not Myself Tonight - Christina Aguilera (Sales slump, former #1)
Ugh, Ke$ha #1, that song sucks, especially compared to her previous 2 hits, and it's becoming bigger than Blah Blah Blah
Surprised how high Muse is, good song, and wow at Christina's drop.
LOL anton, 0.49 cents, everyone would buy that
Also don't get Jessie's Girl there. I have watched the episode and heard the song, it's not that good, and there are many other Glee songs that are as good or better that came nowhere close to the top 50, let alone top 3.
you would be suprised at how popular jessies girl is as a song, hence why rick springfield is hovering inside the top 100 with his original version as well
Eurovision entries!! after the Grand Final aired on SBS, some performers enter the chart!!
Due to high demand from fans, the ESC winner Lena from Germany storms the chart, peaking at #21, only a few hours after the final aired on SBS!! YES! OMG! this is so exciting!
Will Lena be eligible to enter the Aria charts next week?
21.Lena - Satellite (Germany, ESC 2010, New Peak, digital sales surge)
101.Giorgos Alkaois - Opa (Greece, ESC 2010, ranked 8th in the final, congrats!)
119.Hera Bjork - Je Ne Sais Quoi (Iceland, ESC 2010!! not bad, they finished 19th but Australia loves Hera!)
David Guetta's Gettin Over You Is #9 i'm surprised its doing so well and Katy has pushed back to #3 knocking down Yolanda (YES!) and Glee. Last edited:
OMG! Eurovision winner Lena's song "Satellite" zooms up the chart to a new peak of #14. OMG! good to see Australian fans embracing Eurovision!
Lena has made Australian Itunes history, by becoming the highest peaking Eurovision song of all time in the chart, and the most commercially successful! CONGRATULATIONS!
But the question is, will she be eligible to enter the Aria charts?
Last year Alexander Rybak's "Fairytale" only peaked at #18.
14.Lena - Satellite (Germany, ESC 2010, New Peak, rapid sales surge, up from #21)
Other Eurovision entries:
91.Giorgos Alkaois - Opa (Greece, ESC 2010, New Peak) 106.Hera Bjork - Je Ne Sais Quoi (Iceland, ESC 2010!! New Peak)
09.David Guetta - Gettin' Over You (New Peak!!) 21.Travis McCoy - Billionaire (New Peak, YES!) 58.Cheryl Cole - Fight For This Love (Former #56, sales rebound, up from #63) 116.Beyonce - Why Don't You Love Me (New Peak??)
in all honesty as much as i love her. beyonce's why dont you love me does NOT deserve to make the top 50. its uninspired and i think im just over songs from i am... sasha fierce album. she needs to take a break imo and give some other people a chance... much like another 'lady'
i agree - sorry but why don't you love me is like a REALLY bad song, and i love beyonce she had number one and number two on my end of year charts last year
13.Lena - Satellite (Germany, ESC Winner 2010) 14.Travis McCoy - Billionaire 18.Lady Gaga - Alejandro (Re-Enter the Top 10, once the long overdue video is released! the release date for the clip is top secret, anyone know when and who will reveal the date? i heard a rumour that it's at the conclusion of her tour of Europe?)
Songs that really need to EXIT the Top 10:
04.Yolanda Be Cool - We No Speak (please descend faster!) 06.Glee Cast - Jessie's Girl (WTF! get out!) 10.Chiddy Bang - Opposite of Adults (awaiting Top 10 exit)
01.Lena - Satellite (Return to #1, sales rebound, up from#9, set to be the biggest selling song of 2010)
"Satellite" is going to be a massive Summer hit across Europe, it's currently #1 in several countries:
#1 - Austria #1 - Finland #1 - Denmark #1 - Greece #1 - Ireland #1 - Luxemborg #1 - Norway #1 - Spain #1 - Sweden #1 - Switzerland
U.S Itunes Top 10: 1/6/2010
01.Katy Perry - California Gurls (Sales boom! expected to peak at #1 on U.S Bill Hot 100 this Thursday) 04.Lady Gaga - Alejandro (Former #2 peak, sales rebound, up from #6
U.K Itunes Top 10:
01.B.O.B - Nothin' On You 04.Iyaz - Solo (Former #3 peak, sales rebound, up from #7)
its a shame cheryl cole fight for this love is shaping up to be a flop. i mean thats not a sales rebound. its been hovering around the 50-70 mark for a little while now.
im totally in love with that and parachute right now. thanks for putting me onto parachute mykl!
I don't think FFTL will get a spot into the Aria top 50 because it's only spent a few hours in the top 50. It should at least spend about half a week in the 40s at least to secure a spot
Cut out the 'iYiYiYi' and it's not all that bad. I hate that wannabe Bieber though, as if one isn't bad enough! Neither have talent, so they do have something in common.
11.Travis McCoy - Billionaire (New Peak, awaiting Top 10 entry, the dark horse for the next #1)
19.Lady Gaga - Alejandro (Former #2 peak, the video is coming on Monday, stay active in the Top 20 please! honey! An upcoming sales recovery depends on the success of the video, which could be very controversial. Could the "Alejandro" video overshadow the mega successful "Telephone video?)
21.Lena - Satellite (Germany, ESC 2010 Winner, Former #12 peak, overnight sales plunge! WTF!! Come to Australia for a promo tour please! will the song get radio airplay in Australia? but still the song will debut in the Aria Top 20! Two full days in the Top 20, this has to fuckin count! please!)
Brandon, it won't debut top 20 as it only has two (possibly the next two days also) days of genuine sales. Possibly around 40-60 debut?
On another note, the ABC News Remix is up to #58. Don't know what to think about it but it makes me laugh when I hear it. Airplanes is really close to taking back number one as well.
Scouting For Girls are #18 David Guetta's Top 5 now,Lena's back at #20 but hey at least Adam Lambert finally leaves the top 20 (love the song but i've been wanting it to start dropping)

B.O.Bitch!! is back at #1! "Airplanes" feat. Hayley knocks off Usher! how shocking! OMG! WTF!
Went shopping today, good to see Myer and David Jones slashing prices off the DVD's and CD's, thankyou.
I wish if they had an Itunes stocktake sale orend of financial year sale songs for 50 cents please.
01.B.O.B & Hayley - Airplanes (returns to #1 for a 6th day) 02.Usher - OMG! (Former #1, 21 days at #1)
05.David Guetta & Friends - Gettin' Over You (New Peak, sales surge! a dark horse candidate to be the next #1)
22.Lena - Satellite (Germany, ESC 2010 Winner, Former #12 peak, 3 days worth of sales in the Top 22 region, peaking between #12 and #22, this should secure Lena a debut in the Top 20 please.)
24.Enrique Iglesias - I Like It (New Peak, sales zoom)
Me? funny? I'm just trying to say that B.o.B is awesome, maybe also that there's an opening at rehab. Well so many songs are dark horses to you, and having 2-3 days in the top 20 means to you a top 20 ARIA debut...
B.o.B is just a stage name, his real name is Bobby Ray Simons, the B.o.B just comes from Bob I assume.
Australian Itunes Album Chart Update: Thurs 3rd June
Here is the current Top 10:
01.Glee - The Music Vol.3 02.Pendulum - Immersion 03.Eurovision Song Contest Oslo 2010 - Various (Former #2 peak) 04.Angus & Julia Stone - Down The Way 05.Usher - Raymond vs Raymond 06.Seasick Steve - I Started Out With Nothing 07.Sex and the City 2 - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack 08.Two Door Cinema Club - Tourist History 09.Lady Gaga - The Fame Monster (Deluxe Edition) 10.Mumford & Sons - Sigh No More
WTF!!! Is Australia smoking pot or something, how can Cody Simpson be near the ITunes Top 10, he sounds like Justin Biebers long lost Australian Brother. So Another teenage wannabe makes the Chart. How sad, almost makes me like Bieber. I Heard iYiYiY (For 30 Seconds) and it's shit (Flo Rida doesn't help it). What has this world come to, it's no wonder so many people hate the music of today.
1. Usher - OMG (#1 hold) 2. Stan Walker - Unbroken (Massive Sales Surge, New Peak!) 3. Amy Meredith - Lying (Massive Sales Surge, New Peak!) 4. B.o.B - Airplanes (Steady Sales #2 peak) 5. Chiddy Bang - Opposite of Adults (Sales Decline, former #11 peak) 19. Vanessa Amarosi - Mr Mysterious (Sales decline, former #4 peak) 20. Timabaland - If We Ever Meet Again (Sales Decline, former #4 peak)
The two sale surges were caused by Bandit's silly discounts. Both songs are $0.59.
Also: 22. Travie McCoy - Billionaire (Sales Surge, up from #40) 34. Timabaland - Carry Out (Sales Surge) 45. Out Est Le Swimming Pool - Dance The Way I Feel (New Debut??) 50. Thirsty Merc - Mousetrap Heart (New Debut) 55. Enrique Inglesias - I Like It (New Debut)
01.B.O.B - Airplanes (end of 11th full day at #1, will be #1 for how much longer? it's getting boring seeing it at #1, time for another solo female artist at #1, please!)
02.Katy Perry - California Gurls (New Peak, awaiting #1 takeover, and video clip release. Radio airplay is increasing!)
She performed the track live at the MTV Movie Awards yesterday with Snoop Dogg.
She and her dancers were wearing daisy dukes and bikini tops, very sexy! fantastic live vocals and dancing! very uplifting to watch, the audience were on their feet throughout the performance, loud cheers from the crowd of fans.
She remains at #1 in the U.S Itunes chart, but it's #2 on Bill Hot 100, hopefully she will rise to #1 this Thursday. If "California Gurls" peaks at #1, it will become the 2nd #1 U.S Bill Hot 100 hit of her career. It depends on radio airplay of the track, will she be able to knock Usher off?
08.Travis McCoy - Billionaire (New Peak, expected to peak at #1)
40.Christina Aguilera - Not Myself Tonight (Former #11 peak, sales recovery, was #49 a few days ago)
51.Cheryl Cole - Fight For This Love (Former #45 peak, still fighting to rebound back in the Top 50, sales frequently fluctuate, WTF!)
84.Lena - Satellite (Germany, ESC Winner, Former #12 sales decline unfortunately, oh! please return to the Top 50)
108.Christina Aguilera - Woohoo (New Peak!)
The 2nd single off the album "Bionic", she performed as part of a medley at the MTV Movie Awards. Flawless live vocals, excellent choreography and stageshow. Love the leotard she was wearing, with the red laser crotch flashing lights! sexy ooh la la! Expected to debut at #1 on the Albums chart in the U.S and Australia please!
brandon comments are on the the rapid increase however mykl 77 has had a surge. chris a is in a sales recovery daniel is at a new peak and WTF bsb is at #2
I agree with '!'. The comments on this site are getting repetative and boring. I barely follow the weekly aria release thread anymore, despite my good run with predictions..
can someone tell me why when you click christina aguilera week the chart becomes 1 california gurls 2 gettin' over you 3 billionaire 4 ridin' solo 5 your love is my drug 6 lying 7 i like it 8 eenie meenie 9 iyiyi 10 never say never
11.Amy Meredith - Lying (why has it had a sales surge, though no complaints ) 15.Justin Beiber - Never say Never (O_O DIIIEEE!!!) 21.B.o.B Ft. Bruno mars - nothin on you (well you died quickly) 1024. Kylie Minogue - on a night like this (I had nothing else to say...and this was #1024 on itunes )
VICTORY AT LAST! for Katy Perry, i feel so relieved! she earned her success, through hard work and dedication! video clip is out on Tuesday 15th June. Hopefully she will peak at #1 on the U.S Bill Hot 100 chart this Thursday!
As predicted, Katy Perry climbs to #1, after several weeks of waiting! "California Gurls" is the new Itunes #1 song! YES!
This is Katy Perry's 2nd #1 Australian Itunes hit of her career, am i correct?? did "Hot N Cold" peak at #1? "I Kissed A Girl" was #1, back in 2008 for multiple weeks. She is desperate for another #1 hit, everything is going well for her! she is so not a one album hit wonder.
The song was performed live at the MTV Movie Awards, Xtina also performed live, but they were both overshadowed by Sandra Bullock's and Scarlett Johansson's kiss, which was just a quick peck.
The kiss wasn't as steamy and didn't last long, like the 3 way Britney, Madonna & Xtina kiss did, at the MTV VMA's back in 2003.
Anyway, Katy Perry becomes only the 3rd solo female artist, to peak at #1 this year on Itunes, congratulations!! Following Rihanna and Taylor Swift, it's so good to see a female artist back on top. During the first half of this year, male artists were dominating the top of the charts for many weeks.
Overall 9 male artists have peaked at #1 since January, only 3 female artists so far.
After only 12 non-consecutive days at #1, "Airplanes" by B.O.B & Hayley, has lost momentum! and falls to #2.
Katy Perry's biggest threat, is her ex-boyfriend Travis McCoy. His song "Billionaire" is climbing up the chart every day, so he is looks like a favourite to be the next #1 song.
Could be a battle of the exes soon, it's gonna be fierce!
More good news for Katy, a possible peak at #1 on the Aria charts this Sunday. Usher is now at #3, B.O.B was only at #1 for two days this week, Monday and Tuesday.
Does Katy have a chance to peak at #1 on Aria and Billboard?
*************************************************
01.Katy Perry - California Gurls (New Peak, sales zoom! due to high demand from fans & MTVMA performance success, A return to prominence! finally!)
02.B.O.B & Hayley - Airplanes (Former #1 peak, sales decline) 03.Usher - OMG! (Former #1 peak, consistent sales growth) 04.Yolanda Be Cool - We No Speak American (sales decline) 05.David Guetta - Gettin' Over You (stalled again) 06.Travis McCoy - Billionaire (New Peak) 07.Jason DeRulo - Ridin' Solo (Former #4 peak?) 08.Taio Cruz - Break Your Heart (Former #2 peak?) 09.Kesha - Your Love Is My Drug (Former #5 peak?) 10.Chiddy Bang - Opposite of Adults (Former #9 peak?) 11.Amy Meredith - Lying (awaiting Top 10 entry?) 12.Enrique Iglesias - I Like It (New Peak) 13.Sean Kingston & Justin Bieber - Eenie Meenie 14.30H3 & Kesha - My First Kiss (New Peak) 15.Justin Bieber - Never Say Never (New Peak) 16.Eminem - Not Afraid (Former #1 peak) 17.Cody Simpson - Iyi Iyi 18.Miley Cyrus - Can't Be Tamed 19.Glee Cast - Jessie's Girl (sales decline) 20.Train - Hey, Soul Sister (Former #1 peak)
46.Kelly Rowland - Commander (New Peak! solo comeback success, fantastic music video! Welcome Back!)
49.Cheryl Cole - Fight For This Love (Former #45 peak)
Ms.Cole is still fighting for Itunes chart justice, as "Fight For This Love" re-enters the Top 50. Very unpredictable sales results, WTF!! The good news is, she should be guaranteed entry into the Aria Top 50 this Sunday!! please!
57.Christina Aguilera - WooHoo (New Peak, rapid sales zoom, was #108 yesterday. Was performed at MTVMA yesterday.
bsb, Lying is being used on the channel ten ads for the show Lie To Me. I also heard somewhere that Amy Meredith were either already on Hey Hey, or were going to be this week. I'm assuming those two things have contributed to their awesome surge.
Brandon... do you even follow the progression of the ARIA countdown? if Commander is #38 tonight and sales period closes tomorrow it would most likely miss the top 100 completely or if allowed to chart debut lowers in the countown.
Omg Brandon, I just sat through the most painful vocal effort since the last time I saw her, I am refering to Katy Perry and her what you call 'MTVMA performance success'. To be blunt she is terrible at singing live and the set design I thought I was transfered back to 1980, what tha!
Also I was non pleased with Aguilera's effort either, I bought Bionic first thing Monday morning and all i'm hearing is Madonna rehashed from the early 90's but her vocal effort at the MTVMA's was really below Christina's ability.
13. Bieber - Never Say Never (WTF, this makes Australia retarded) 19. Glee Cast - Poker Face (WTF, WHY, it makes Gagas version look brilliant) 24. Cody Simpson - IYIYIY (Glad to see this crap drop even if the guy lives in the same state as me)
The Top part of the ITunes Chart is too Urban, we need more Fireflies and Hey Soul Sisters at the Top end, at least they will bbe remembered in 5 Years unlike all this Urban waste.
Just wondering if anybody has any ideas if Kylie's record company is going to let All The Lovers chart next week. I want my purchase from i Tunes to count towards her charting position on thr ARIA charts but am worried they will hold off letting it chart until the physical release or something
Bandit.fm Update! I haven't done this since about one and a half weeks ago but who cares

The link still works for me so I'll post the chart
1. Katy Perry - California Gurls (Full week @ #1, lead declining) 2. B.o.B - Airplanes (Stalled at peak) 3. Usher - OMG (gradually declining) 4. Travie McCoy - Billionaire (Repeaking) 5. Yolanda Be Cool - We No Speak Americano (falling slowly) 6. David Guetta - Gettin' Over You (catching up to top 5) 7. Taio Cruz - Break Your Heart 8. Ke$ha - Your Love is My Drug 9. Eminem - Not Afraid 14. 3OH!3 - My First Kiss 15. Lady Gaga - Alejandro 16. Chiddy Bang - Opposite of Adults 17. Sean Kingston - Eenie Meenie 18. Scouting For Girls - This Ain't a Love Song 19. Uncle Kracker - Smile (New Peak) 20. Train - Hey, Soul Sister
Other movers
23. Paramore - The Only Exception 27. Glee Cast - Poker Face 45. Train - If It's Love 46. Adam Lambert - If I Had You Last edited:
Anyway, The other movers are quite interesting, I thought Train's newie would just hang around the 50-100 area like every other rock song that gets overplayed by radio. Uncle Kracker and Scouting for Girls I'm surprised are quite high up too.
Looks like Kylie would get a plain top 20 debut which is a good effort anyway. Alejandro hasn't rebound that much either. It might be higher at the end of the week due to video sales (I personally hope not )
when you click on the link and the new window pops up, as it loads, change the part of the text of the address bar which says limit=0 to limit=200 or limit=1000 or something else[then press enter]. See if that works.
The Glee version had a peak of 13 to the best of my knowledge. It should manage a Top 50 debut on Sunday (fingers crossed). I like it just cause it's a different arrangement (and yes GaGa's little monsters I know she has performed it in that arrangment - it's nice that the general public can be exposed to it).
I hope Kylie gets a physical release to help her get a Top 10 positioning for her song. It's a much better lead single than 2 Hearts, which I personally felt did not accurately reflect the feel of the X album.
I don't think the Alejandro video is having the same impact that Telephone is. A number of GaGa fans I spoe to today think it's terrible and that GaGa has lost the plot a bit.
I agree bsb, it's very cheap. I didn't mind it when used in Don't Trust Me, but here it's just a tad painful, but it could be because it has Kesha in it, which brings it down to her level
lol, ke$ha wasnt the problem here xD, it just made 3OH!3 look like a indie group, and not an A class pop group, which they are; I mean look at their hits;;
Dont trust me #4(?) Starstrukk #4(?) Blah Blah Blah #3
^Honestly, if they want a 4th consecutive top 5 hit they may want to try harder
Enrique Iglesias cracks the top 10 at #10!! Chemical rush (brian mcfadden) smashes up to #15!! 25.Paramore - The only exception (No one seems to of noticed its decent climb so im noting it not ) 44.Brian McFadden - Chemical rush [radio mix] (with these surges could brian get another top 5 hit in the coming weeks?) 74.Ne*Yo - Beautiful monster (new peak) 119.Rihanna - Rockstar101 (lets watch this over the coming days..)
@bsb, I noticed Paramore's surge in my post when they were at #23
Also,
18. Uncle Kracker - Smile 41. Gyroscope - Baby, I'm Gettin' Better (& 96) 50. Kele - Tenderoni 53. Children Collide - Jellylegs 61. LMFAO & Lil Jon - Shots 68. Tinie Tempah - Pass Out (Rebound I think, can't remember it this high in a while) Last edited:
thats such a smart idea LOL! i reckon if brian can go top 5 with his first version, and keep consistent with the 2nd, he may have a consecutive #1 yet!
I don't like Chemical Rush. Just Say So is much better.
A quick bandit.fm update!
1. Scouting For Girls - This Ain't A Love Song (Massive sales surge due to discount, new peak) 2. Amy Meredith - Lying (Steady at Peak, also has a discount at bandit.fm) 3. B.o.B - Airplanes (Re-Peak) 4. Usher - OMG (Sales Decline) 5. Katy Perry - California Gurls
10. Travie McCoy - Billionaire (New Peak) 13. Kylie Minogue - All The Lovers (Debut!) 14. Enrique Iglesias - I Like It (New Peak!)
Note: For those that are unaware, I post this because this provides another aspect of sales from another place besides Itunes. Bandit.fm most likely makes up of about 5-10% of total sales so it may be good to factor this in your predictions etc. Last edited:

Chemical Rush is boring, Just Say So was a good Pop Track whether you liked it or not but Chemical Rush doesn't have Hit Appeal. Hopefully it drops after everyone who watched AGT brought it.
I'm really surprised Cherly Cole isn't have great success with Fight For This Love, it's coming off the back of a huge hit and I personally think it is 100% better than 3 Words. Is radio not playing Fight For This Love? Maybe 3 Words was only a hit because of the obsession with anything remotely connected with BEP
I can understand why Alexandra isn't getting a smash even if it is a bloody brilliant song. For some reason Australians appear to have ditched british music for the crap coming out of the US, even though the British r&b scen is infinietely better than the US scene.
I too am surprised about the lack of interest in Need You Know, it has 'massive crossover hit' written all over it.
I'm not impressed with Chemical Rush but it may grow on me and I am really enjoy Lambert's newie.
Australia are often stupid and embrace crap music and then just pay no attention to all of that pop brilliance that you mentioned.
It seems you need a US rapper in your songs to be big, but even that's not guaranteed (Alexandra Burke). Maybe if Need You Now featured BEP or GaGa or something it could become a hit
Fight for this Love is great but 3 Words is much better. That's not because of will.i.am, it's a great song and I'd probably prefer it if she sang his part too (although it would sound a bit awkward ).
I don't think All Night Long is very good. Bad Boys was much better, and radio played that, and there was a CDS, and it flopped, how would we expect All Night Long to have success?
I like Need You Now but I'm one of few, surprisingly, to think it doesn't have much hit potential here. It was overrated in the US where it made #2 I think, but they have a big market for country music. I don't dislike it but it's not a big hit.
Chemical Rush is toxic garbage, one of the worst songs in the chart ever. Hate hate hate it, worse than crap like Bob the Builder.
Adam Lambert (If I Had You) is meh, not too bad but not much HP and nowhere near its preceder.
Lol If I Had You is AWESOME, the best song on adams whole album, whataya want from me was not that great in my opinion
the 3 songs that ppl seem to be rooting for (all night long, need you now, fight for this love) is prob not doing well, because australia is in a different scene; look at airplanes, California Gurls, and OMG; the 3 we love arent like it; So we are for now in a minority group unfortunately
ALSO; i cant believe gypsy wasnt a hit either! australia has not made good choices recently
Alexandra Burke has the most potential to hit our charts and smash them imo
Yes, HP stands for Hit Potential just like Hijinx said, sorry.
If I Had You isn't that bad but Whataya Want from Me is much better. I do think that Adam is a bit overrated, but it's a matter of #2 peak and #10 year to date VS. a peak in the fifties (so far), on my charts..
I'm not in the minority, and I've never rooted for those songs or thought they would be big, lol.
Oh, and Gypsy sucks.
Of those 3 songs commonly rooted for I think FFTL has most potential. ANL is not that good and doesnt really suit Aus's market, same with NYN. I do know that FFTL has been "stalling" for months, but it has most potential, in my opinion.
Of the 3 FFTL is the best pop song, All Night Long is actually quite plain, it does have that hit sound, and I thought having Pitbull on the track would help. I actually think Need You Now has the most, Australia does like pop with a hint of country and with the right promotion it could be huge.
Gypst is average at best, her last good songs were Don't Bother and Hips Don't Lie years back.
If I Had You is great, but can't be compared to Whataya Want From Me.
I agree that Fight for this Love is the best of those three songs (#4 peak for me, versus #22 (ANL) and #8 (NYN)). I don't think Alexandra Burke's track has much of a hit sound, and IMO Pitbull ruins the track. I've mentioned NYN above, I don't think it has that potential.
She Wolf was great, Give It Up to Me good, but those tracks were nothing compared to the awesome Hips Don't Lie.
1. Katy Perry (feat Snoop Dogg) - California Gurls (lead increasing) 2. B.o.B (feat Hayley Williams) - Airplanes (sales slowing) 3. Daniel09; Yes, just the same as you need to respect lifter's opinions, he has very different opinions to quite alot of us on this site but it still works both ways you know, you need to expect him not to agree because you 2 like COMPLETELY different music
I personally have a very 'pop' taste with a side of some rock and some indie
Has anyone else noticed Dynamite disappeared from the iTunes top songs? They've removed every single track from Taio Cruz's album except for the digital booklet. Last edited:
The thing is that whenever a song gets to #1 on iTunes, this forum gets across it very quickly, and you came across as just saying it to make it look like you had a scoop. For the record, it wasn't at number one at 2am or 2pm, as Chris said, the popularity bars were too far off.
iTunes Top 10 with Popularity Bars 1. California Gurls - Katy Perry ft Snoop Dogg (Day 19) (100) 2. Airplanes - B.o.B ft Hayley Williams (70) 3. Love the Way You Lie - Eminem ft Rihanna (64) 4. Billionaire - Travie McCoy ft Bruno Mars (57) 5. I Like It - Enrique Iglesias (55) 6. Smile - Uncle Kracker (56) 7. We No Speak Americano - Yolanda Be Cool & DCup (53) 8. OMG - Usher ft will.i.am (50+10) 9. Gettin' Over You - David Guetta ft Chris Willis, Fergie & LMFAO (49) 10. Break Your Heart - Taio Cruz (45)
4.Uncle Cracker Smile (new peak, should move into #3 soon) 5.Eminem & Rihanna Love The Way You Lie (sales declining) 11.3OH!3 Featuring Ke$ha My First Kiss (Re-Peak) 15.Scouting For Girls This Ain't A Love Song (New Peak) 51.Professor Green Featuring Lily Allen Just Be Good To Green
No worries, anton. I seem to be doing iTunes updates every day, does anyone have a problem with this?
Here's the current top five with popularity bars (2010.06.26 21:13) 1. California Gurls - Katy Perry ft Snoop Dogg (Day 19) (100) 2. Airplanes - B.o.B ft Hayley Williams (70) 3. Billionaire - Travie McCoy ft Bruno Mars (57) 4. Smile - Uncle Kracker (56) 5. Love the Way You Lie - Eminem ft Rihanna (57)
01.Katy Perry - California Gurls (commencing 21st day at #1) 02.Uncle Crack - Smile Bitch! (New Peak, that's high enough) 03.B.O.B & Hayley - Airplanes (Former #1 peak) 04.Travis McCoy - Billionaire (Former #3 peak, please surge!) 05.Enrique Iglesias - I Like It (New Peak? a dark horse for the next #1, a really great song!)
Katy Perry's track is miles better than Uncle Kracker's. For once, I'm happy Katy's #1. Airplanes is amazing, however, why couldn't that smash instead.
I sure hope so. Well, look at I Kissed a Girl, that was sorta short-lived (before the rebound), and VERY short-lived in some other countries. Hopefully CG is like that. Katy's VERY overrated. B.o.B's just an awesome song full stop. Last edited:
Great to see Smile race up to two, I hope it can go to number one. It's much better than the overrated California Skanks, and even the decent but boring Airplanes. For those who measure the popualarity bars, is Smile gaining on Katy or not?
Funny that just as I start to hate Americano less, it begins to fall. Maybe I should tell myself I like Katy's song too.
Damn that stupid Uncle! It's one of the worst songs in the top ten, and even that overrated California Gurls is much better! It hasn't been played on radio here once, all this is because it's used in one stupid ad. What are charts getting to!
Thanks Hijinx. I knew it had extended it's lead over Airplanes, but I wasn't sure if that was due to it gaining and closing in on Katy or Airplanes dropping back.
Today Was a Fairytale was quite bland. Airplanes is AMAZING, and Not Afraid is almost as good however, I wish they'd've gone #1, especially Airplanes, that spent quite a while (11 days) #1 on iTunes, and ages at #2. Eminem only spent 3 days there, Taylor 5 and Midnight Beast 6.
today was a fairytale is not bland, id have to say airplanes is the boring hit. hayley williams sounds like she recorded it while she was on the toilet . and midnight beast would have been the most undeserving number one of ALL time if it had made it to ARIA no.1. glad it didnt, as it was funny for about all of 5 minutes
Today was a Fairytale is nothing special. Sounds like her other hits, repeats TWAF around 16 times (thanks anton) and is just quite continuous overall. Airplanes is fantastic. I wouldn't say she recorded it while on the toilet, I don't hear any toilet-related backing noises, but she does sound like she was forced to sing on it. B.o.B's rap is the great part. The TiK ToK parody was great - nowhere near songs like Airplanes - but it was funny for MORE than five minutes.
Just recounting the number of times she says the title on a lyrics website and it's apparently 15. I have no idea now. I originally hoped she would say it 15 times because of the irony with her other song, "Fifteen"
JB's somebody to love is an alright song, the best i've heard from Justin Bieber yet, both versions are #55 & #56
Flo Rida/David Guetta's Club Can't Handle Me is #81
I was trying to DL ne-yo's new single (couldn't find it) so i listened to a preview on bandit.fm and i'm glad i couldn't find it,its so horrible and very bland for a ne-yo song. Last edited:
I do quite like Justin Bieber 'Somebody to Love,' I probably agree with you there that it's his best, although the Usher remix is just terrible; he ruins the song.
Flo Rida's newie is such a letdown. It's not a bad song, but for Flo's standards I would've expected much, much better.
I love 'Beautiful Monster.' I'll send you the track if you want It's not his best, but it's an awesome song.
Damn, 'Smile' is old and rubbish (just like the artist ). I wish it'd stop that increase, I'm buying Katy's song as soon as Smile goes #1 (if it does). I know it's Day 22 for that overrated thing, but, 'Smile' just sucks. Why not 'Airplanes'?
EDIT: Smile is down to 88! YES!!!!!!!!!!! Last edited:
so what if she says today was a fairytale however many times mate, its the name of the song. lets put it into an example im sure you will understand more. just dance. how many times does gaga say "just dance" during the track? does this make the song any better or worse, no its just the way it is.
as for tik tok parody well i guess some people are easier pleased than others.
but anyway thats the beauty of opinions, everyone has one
or jay sean - down, he says it 76 times in that song
392 - this is odd, I AGREE WITH YOU!?!!??! haha; airplanes is most deffinately deserving of a #1, but look on the brightside its having ALOT of longevity inside that top 3
18 times GaGa says 'just dance' in the song. Saying 'TWAF' annoys me as that's 7 syllables. Something like Just Dance or Down is only 2-1 syllables, which is a significant difference.
Haha, BSB. True, most songs aren't that long-lived up there especially when not being chart toppers.
1. Katy Perry - California Gurls 2. Uncle Kracker - Smile (Up to 95%) 3. B.o.B (feat Hayley Williams) - Airplanes (Up to 83% suggesting #1 is losing steam) 4. Happy to see California Gurls dying, but that means Smile is increasing even more than it appears and will be #1 for a while probably I love Somebody to Love, but the Usher mix is terrible.... but at least it gets some success, Bieber's best song.
To kickstart the new financial year, Katy Perry's "California Gurls" remains at #1, crossing over into the 2nd half of the year! OMG! the song has acheived Global chart success, #1 in several countries! well done! Uncle Krack! is cracking under the pressure! YES! stalled at #2, and that's high enough, thanks.
B.O.B & Hayley are at #3, great longevity in the Top 5. Enrique Iglesias is up one position, to #4!! a new peak for him! he is a candidate for the next #1, excellent vocals and song concept. Video clip is fantastic! avery upbeat song, puts me in a good mood.
Eminem & Rihanna's "Love The Way You Lie", is the official 2nd single! video coming soon! still a candidate to be #1, with more airplay needed.
01.Katy Perry - California Gurls (24th full day at #1) 02.Uncle Krack - Smile Bitch! Every thursday evening i post an iTunes update of songs yet to crack the top 50 in ARIA but i think i will stop as 3 updates already have been posted today alone which is stupid!
Nate has a point, most of us have iTunes, we don't really need eight million updates a day.
Great to see Brandon Flowers in the top fifty, I don't think he's been in there long enough to debut in the ARIA top fifty this week, but hopefully sales will hold or improve.
Interesting to see Big Jet Plane surging all of a sudden, were they on Hey Hey or something?
**THE TOP TEN UPDATE** 1. California Gurls 2. Smile 3. Airplanes 4. I Like It 5. Billionaire 6. Love The Way You Lie 7. We No Speak Americano 8. Gettin' Over You 9. OMG 10. Break Your Heart
Still recording the daily top 20? The constant updates are a little silly though, if you look, the only difference between my update & Brandon's is that #'s 8 & 9 switched places.
I Would rather Smile be at #1 then Katy Perry even though both are boring. Airplanes is worse then both of them and is another bland Urban Hit. Meanwhile, it has been over a week since Train performed on Hey Hey and they are still in the Top 15 ITunes before that they were around #16-#25, I didn't expect it to remain in The Top 15 this long after their performence. Hopefully it can outsell the 3 Tracks I mentioned in the 1st 2 Sentences on the Year End Chart, it better.
No, actually, Hijinx. I stopped a while ago after missing several days, but anyway, I can easily get that chart with the ten million updates every day, as well as looking at the ARIA Download chart.
Katy Perry remains at #1! where she belongs! earlier in the week she thanked her Aussie fans on her Twitter, for making her song the #1 song of the Winter 2010! oh! thankyou Katy!
She is unstoppable! and her career reviving hit "California Gurls" has been #1 in the U.S Itunes chart for several weeks.
She is outselling all her rivals, including Uncle Crack and HER Ex-Boyfriend Travis McCoy. "California Gurls" has smashed digital sales records again in the U.S!! Well done! the song also peaked at #1 in several other countries, including the U.K!
Uncle Krack, is still cracking under the pressure! stalled at #2 and not going anywhere. He is up against Katy Perry! who has a millions of fans around the world. My early forecast is that Enrique Iglesias will soon challenge him, and takeover as the next #2 single.
Enrique & Pitbull's "I Like It", has just entered the U.S Itunes Top 10, a breakthrough for him, thanks to Pitbull for his assistance. Such a good dance/club song, very uplifting with an excellent melody and strong vocals! he has a powerful voice! Finally! a career reviving hit for Enrique, which will be a popular hit for the Northern Hemisphere Summer season! Enrique gets the global success, he deserves!! A candidate to become the next Itunes #2, and eventually he will takeover the #1 position! i hope.
After several weeks in the Top 3, B.O.B & Hayley's "Airplanes", has started it's descent slowly. The song did peak at #1, and peaked at #2 on the Aria and Airplay charts. Another case of a song that what WAS #1 on Itunes, but NEVER to be #1 on Aria.
Current Top 10: subject to change on an hourly basis
01.Katy Perry - California Gurls (commencing 26th day at #1) 02.Uncle Crack - Smile Bitch! Uncle Krack has finally cracked under the pressure, and falls to #3. Due to high demand from fans, Enrique and Pitbull's "I Like It" now peaks at #2! finally!!
Katy Perry remains at #1, a record sales blitz for her!! securing a 4th week atop the Aria charts, this Sunday.

13.30H!3 & Kesha - My First Kiss (New Peak? sales recovery) 17.Miley Cyrus - Can't Be Tamed (New Peak? sales rebound due to album hype)
Exclusive update on her Itunes Albums chart progress in Australia and many other countries.
"Aphrodite" is tipped to debut at #1 this Sunday on the National and Physical Albums chart, and knock Eminem off the top spot, which could be challenging.
Both versions of Aphrodite occupy the Top 2 positions! An upcoming promo tour for Kylie, she is currently in the U.K, and her new single "All The Lovers" peaks at #3 on the Itunes Singles chart. I'll be expecting some Aria nominations for Kylie, no more snubs!
Eminem's album is not in the Top 10, WTF!

Katy Perry has just finished her 30th day at #1, that's equivalent to one month at the top! guaranteed a 4th week atop the Aria charts this Sunday. Enrique Iglesias is expected to peak at #1 very soon! "I Like It" is recieving a lot of radio airplay and the video is great! two versions are charting! Uncle Crack has cracked under the pressure, and falls to #5 after a sudden sales loss! Eminem & Rihanna's LTWYL rebounds to #3, what a relief! still has a chance to be #1!
Here is the current Top 5:

A new #1 song! "Love The Way You Lie" by Eminem & Rihanna takes over the #1 position from Katy Perry, due to a rise in radio airplay spins! and high demand from fans. The song was rush released and it's the official 2nd digital single, to be released on Itunes worldwide!!
This is both Eminem and Rihanna's 2nd #1 Itunes chart topper, Rihanna previously peaked at #1 with "Rude Boy" back in March, and Eminem peaked at #1 in May, with "Not Afraid. So that's two #1 songs each! congratulations!
The other favourite for the next #1 hit is Enrique Iglesias, he is currently holding the #3 position. I expected Enrique to peak at #1, before Eminem & Rihanna did, but it's a close race in the Top 3, and anything can happen.
"California Gurls", was #1 for 31 days!! becoming the 2nd longest running Itunes chart topper, only two days behind Train's "Hey, Soul Sister", which was #1 for 33 days! Katy Perry has become this years most successful female artist on Itunes!
Despite the sales loss, Perry was at #1 from Saturday to Thursday, so this should secure her a 4th week atop the Aria charts!
The dark horse is rising! Flo Rida's addictive new song "Club Can't Handle Me", peaks at #16. Has potential to peak at #1, such an upbeat club song!

16.Taio Cruz - Dynamite (New Peak, 2nd or 3rd single)
So the 2nd and 3rd singles are being released at the same time?
SHAKIRA CHART PROGRESS!
24.Shakira - Waka Waka (This Time for Africa) (New Peak?)
In front of an estimated 84,000 fans, live in the stadium, Shakira performed this world cup anthem!! with 100% pure live vocals. Flawless dance routine, the choreography was brilliant! loved the flash mobs in front of the stage. Shakira performed the track, full of confidence and energy! she recieved exposure from an estimated 1 billion!! viewers worldwide!! OMG! who tuned in to watch the closing ceremony and Grand Final match.
"Waka Waka" is currently #1 on 10 other Itunes charts:
Netherlands Spain Germany Portugal Italy France Switzerland Luxembourg Belgium Finland
"Waka Waka" has a sales rebound this week! combining the digital and physical single sales figures, she is guaranteed a peak in the Top 20 Aria charts this Sunday! i hope. "She Wolf", peaked at #18 in 2009, will the song surpass this peak?
4. Adam Lambert - If I Had You 12. Taio Cruz - Dynamite 17. Birds Of Tokyo - Plans 22. Usher - DJ Got us fallin In Love Again 25. iYiYi 38. Lady Antebellum - Need You Now 44. Little Red - Rock It 45 + 80. Michael Paynter - Love The Fall 52. Brandon Flowers - Crossfire 56. Muse - Uprising (Rebound!) 95. Nickelback - Burn It To The Ground
Interesting to note that the ABC Remix and Drops of Jupiter are STILL in the top 100. There's quite a lot of Bon Jovi songs below 100 too.
Whenever I have sampled a Track it usually tells me whether the full version it is good or not. Some are better then the sample but in the end they just end up average.
I do the same. I sample it first, and if the sample grabs me I'll go listen to the full song immediately. If the sample doesn't grab me, I'm happy to wait until whenever it happens that I hear the full song.
Interesting to see Birds of Tokyo going so well. Plans is alright, but I preferred The Saddest Thing I Know. Anyone know if there's a special reason this song is going so well (promotion etc) or if it's just that people are really liking it?
Can someone explain where the Newton Faulkner song came from. According to the comments it's some sort of H&A radio skit or something. Up to #6 now and has no popularity bar
Yeah it is. Someone (forgot who) had the idea of making a song called "I Hate Mondays" and they (Hamish and Andy) built off that. Harry Connick Junior came up with the original tune and Newton Faulkner finalized it. It was announced that it was released at the end of today's show
Maybe they're advertising the song in the Hot30 too. Those two shows as well as the Hour of Power have MASSIVE audiences. (Apparently the Hot30 has 1.5 million listeners. Quite possible but I'm not sure if I should believe that)
The iTunes charts are pretty weird at the moment, all these songs coming out of nowhere.. 4. I Hate Mondays - Newton Faulkner 10. Bang Bang Bang - Mark Ronson 15. Dynamite - Taio Cruz 21. Plans - Birds of Tokyo 22. DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love - Usher & Pitbull 25. Dirty Picture - Taio Cruz & Ke$ha 42. Ride Remix?? - Ciara and friends
I'm with 392. I only listened to 30 seconds on iTunes but it sounded horrible if you're judging it as a song, and unfunny if it's to be judged as a skit. I really hope it is ineligible to enter. California Skanks would nearly be a better #1.
Newton's bars are irrelevant, but Enrique has around 70 and Katy has around 60. Newton will probably make #2, but, being a boring skit will probably bomb, I doubt it would knock of Em/RI.
I expect it will go back up tomorrow after the Hamish and Andy Show is aired. I think it has a good chance of making Top 50 if the record company allows it to chart.
Dirty Picture #22 Choose You #23 Crossfire #39 Far From Over #53 (Frank Stallone is currently advertised by Hamish & Andy who think this is the greatest song of all time)
Down By The River #60 ABC Remix #62 Revolution #71 Closer To The Edge #74 What If #76 Cooler Than Me #91 Last edited:
Flo Rida finally peaks in the Top 10! what took so long? Usher surges overnight to a new peak at #2, wow! such a good song.
Newton Falcon's comeback song declines to #9, down from #2 so soon! unusual sales fluctuation! WTF! i guess it only peaks high on Mondays. It's the new Monday anthem, for people that come back to work on a Monday, and experience withdrawals after having such an enjoyable weekend. It's an anthem for the Monday haters, including me. Maybe next Monday, the song will surge again!
*************************************************
Current Top 10:
01.Eminem & Rihanna - Love The Way You Lie (end of 13th day) 02.Usher - DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love (New Peak, rapid surge) 03.Enrique Iglesias - I Like It (still awaiting #1 takeover) 04.Katy Perry - California Gurls 05.Adam Lambert - If I Had You (you never will, dream on!) 06.Travis McCoy - Billionaire 07.Uncle Crack - Smile Bitch (long awaited sales decline) 08.B.O.B - Airplanes (sales decline at last!) 09.Newton Falcon - I Hate Mondays (me too) 10.Flo Rida - Club Can't Handle Me (New Peak, finally in Top 10)
*************************************************
Below Top 10:
20.Kylie Minogue - All The Lovers (Album Version, New Peak!)
Appearance on Hey, Hey, might cause a much needed sales surge! finally! the song rebounds, i'll be expecting a return to the Aria Top 20, combined with the high physical sales. The digital single version only peaked at #11.
35.Shakira - Waka Waka (Former #24 peak, sales rebound)
Should return to the Top 30, with help from the amount of physical sales.
39.Brandon Flowers - Crossfire (New Peak?)
A relaxing song to hear, nice melody and very emotive vocals. Finally the song rebounds, due to increased airplay and video?
87.Christina Aguilera - I Hate Boys (New Peak? do Aussie fans like this song at all?)
The anthem for the all people that really hate boys. It's the rumoured 2nd single off the album, not many radio airplay spins and no video planned yet? Bad choice for the 2nd single, "Woohoo" was better. How much do fans really like this song? was it chosen against their will? Hopefully the label will release "You Lost Me", the video clip is out in August, or "Lift Me Up"?
Hasn't that Step Up crap already been released? Aaargh, somebody forced me to watch Step Up 2 last year, it was terrible, the only highlight was one or two of the songs, such as Killa
Yeah, Magic is the new (third) B.o.B single in the US, which features Rivers Cuomo. It's not as good as NOY and Airplanes, but it's got an extremely catchy, solid chorus which will help it be a big hit, I think. Last edited:
Here are the 10 songs, and only one of them has a chance to peak at #1 on the Aria 2010 end of year chart, released in January 2011.
Who will be #1?
01.Train - Hey, Soul Sister (prolonged chart success) 02.Jason DeRulo - In My Head 03.Jason DeRulo - Ridin' Solo (extended stay in the Top 50) 04.Usher - OMG! (great longevity) 05.Katy Perry - California Gurls (the most successful female) 06.Eminem & Rihanna - Love The Way You Lie (duration?) 07.David Guetta - Gettin' Over You 08.Taio Cruz - Break Your Heart (prolonged chart success) 09.Richard Vission - I Like That (prolonged success! WTF!!!) 10.B.O.B & Hayley - Airplanes (active in the Top 10 for too long! WTF!)
Well, it looks like Dirty Picture flopped! It is much too early to actually say so but if the record company released Dynamite, then they probably thought Dirty Picture wouldn't do so well
Enrique Iglesias "I Like It", a great comeback song! good to see it at #1 soon. A career reviving hit fro Enrique, already Top 10 in many other countries, such a great dance song!
Usher and Pitbull are two very popular artists, with millions of fans, great upbeat song which will be popular in the clubs, regardless of the chart success.
Flo Rida's "Club Can't Handle Me", is the best song of his career! relaxing melody and really puts me in a good mood. Has great potential to peak at #1 on the Aria, Itunes or Radio Airplay charts.
Kylie Minogue's "All The Lovers", a fantastic synth-pop song! nice melody, vocals, video and song concept. It would be great to see Kylie back at #1 again. I would like to request some Aria Noms please!
Taio Cruz & Kesha "Dirty Picture", is a dark horse candidate, due to the popularity of Kesha, this song could outpeak "Dynamite". One of the best tracks of his album.
My Top 5 Candidates:
01.Enrique Iglesias - I Like It (a good chance) 02.Usher & Pitbull - DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love (strong fanbase) 03.Flo Rida - Club Can't Handle Me 04.Kylie Minogue - All The Lovers (strong fanbase) 05.Taio Cruz & Kesha - Dirty Picture (a dark horse)
As everyone has predicted I Hate Mondays has bombed and is now at #21
But besides that we have some upward movement!
Dynamite #8 All The Lovers #13 Dirty Picture #18 Need You Now #28 Crossfire #39 Love The Fall #40!!!!! Closer To The Edge #55 This Afternoon #57 Revolution #63 What If? #65 Magic #87
Brandon: I'm not so sure about Enrique. I think Usher is more likely, plus Usher is already ahead of him. Unfortunately, CCHM probably will make #1. I doubt All the Lovers would, it probably would've by now if it was going to, and Dirty Picture has been replaced by Dynamite so it's unlikely. I predict Eminem to stay at #1 for a week or two, although Usher may overtake him. Then Flo Rida will go #1, dammit.
#11 - All The Lovers (Kylie Minogue) #28 - Need You Now (Lady Antebellum) #38 - Love the Fall (Michael Paynter) #46 - Closer to the Edge (30 Seconds to Mars) #54 - This Afternoon (Nickelback) #59 - What If (Jason Derulo) #61 - Half of My Heart (John Mayer) #84 - Magic (B.o.B & Rivers Cuomo) #88 - Hello (The Potbelleez) #99 - Cooler Than Me (Mike Posner)
lol 'i hate mondays' is going to have a spectacular fall out of the top 10 this week. its at #43

The much hyped "Teenage Dream", which is the 2nd single from Katy Perry, peaks at #2!! the song is rapidly rising everyday! and is currently #2 on the U.S Itunes chart and #1 on the Canadian Itunes chart. The video clip has been filmed, and fans are awaiting the release?
Enrique Iglesias is still in the race for the next Itunes #1, along with Usher and Taio.
Kylie Minogue's "All The Lovers", only peaked at #12 a few days ago, and the digital single peaked at #11 last month. She still has a chance to crack the Aria Top 10, with the help from a physical sales boom.
Current Top 5:
01.Eminem & Rihanna - Love The Way You Lie (end of 20th day) 02.Katy Perry - Teenage Dream (New Peak, awaiting #1 takeover) 03.Usher & Pitbull - DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love (Former #2 peak) 04.Enrique Iglesias - I Like It (Former #2 peak) 05.Taio Cruz - Dynamite (New Peak?)
From the 30 Second sample, Teenage Dream is rubbish and much worse then California Gurls but would still be a better #1 then the garbage thats on top right now. Crap Top 2 right now.
30 seconds is a pretty fair amount to preview, it does give you a grasp of what a song sounds like. I do it all the time to decide whether to bother listening to a whole song or waiting until it comes up somewhere. You usually get the chorus (which in theory is the strongest part of a song, though for Teenage Dream it's the weakest) and maybe a taste of a verse. I think that's more than enough to tell you whether you're interested or not.
Love The Way You Lie still has quite a large lead. I'm sure she'll do it eventually, but I thought Katy'd close the gap sooner. Last edited:
If lady gaga's alejandro drops out of the charts this week, than it will be the first time since august 2008 without gaga, so Here are the gaga's in the top 100 so we can see if this will go through..
53.Dance In The Dark [new single, lets see if alejandro will leave before this enters, could be VERY close] 57.Alejandro [almost guaranteed a digital top 50 drop out, unfortunately its video might save it ] 85.Telephone [no need to worry, its top 100 run might be over soon O_O] 92.Bad Romance[its run is almost over too ] --
124.Poker Face [it needed a mention, having the longest top 100 run in ARIA history, this is actually quite high compared to where this song is usually sitting, I honestly dont know how it survives each week, can it get to 100 weeks?]
Im only wanting gaga out for a week, just because the run is ridiculous Last edited:
Katy Perry is tipped to be the next Itunes #1!! OMG!
Katy Perry's chart success is set to continue in Australia. She has a strong fanbase! which is why "I Kissed A Girl", was #1 for 6 weeks in 2008, and the video clip was the 6th most watched music video, on Youtube Australia. "Hot N Cold" and "Starstruckk" were both Aria Top 5 hits. "California Gurls" recently spent 4 weeks at #1, and now "Teenage Dream", is tipped to be the next Itunes and Aria #1. Congratulations!! Katy! let the success continue, please!
Eminem and Rihanna have now secured a 3rd week atop the Aria charts! YES!
The video also guest stars Dominic Monaghan, the former "Lost" actor, who will star alongside Megan Botox Fox!
Looking forward to seeing Newton Falcon's "I Hate Mondays" spectacular fall from chart grace!
Mark Ronson's "Bang Bang Bangs", will also tumble down the charts!

Current Top 5:
01.Eminem & Rihanna - Love The Way You Lie (final few days at #1) 02.Katy Perry - Teenage Dream (patiently awaiting #1 takeover) 03.Usher & Pitbull Terrier - DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love 04.Enrique Iglesias - I Like It (Former #2 peak) 05.Taio Cruz - Dynamite (stalled at peak?)
Special Mention!
53.Lady Gaga - Dance In The Dark (New Peak, a dark horse for the next #1, or not?)
There are several factors which explain why Poker Face is still charting
+ Multiple versions available, including one that regularly appears around the #850 spot. It may sound ridiculous but given how close sales must be towards the end of the Top 100, that does make a difference. + Music video sales + Probably good sales on other digital providers.
I really fail to see how the run is ridiculous. I'm sure that you wouldn't think so if it was one of your fav acts who had such a run. People like the song and are still buying it, almost two years after its release, so it appears in the Top 100, get over it.
The same goes for Bad Romance, you say that the run is almost over, yet it has several versions available, so it could still stay in the Top 100 for some time.
+ And obviously you haven't looked carefully the iTunes chart this week to say that Alejandro is gonna drop out of the digital Top 50. The song will easily remain in this week's Top 50.
It only dropped below the Top 50 on Tuesday or Wednesday. Moreover, it was charting around the #40 spot during the weekend.
I understand why people hate GaGa but it would be so great if only they could remain objective in regards to her chart performances. By the way, there were two weeks in October when there were no GaGa singles in the Top 50 (bar if you count Chillin').
I DO hope that Poker Face spends 100 weeks in the chart but that's gonna be really hard
I do count chillin, so sorry I dont hate gaga, and I was just wondering why she was still remaining, I didnt know about the other factors were doing well as for alejandro, no im sorry the computer had a virus and so i COULDNT check it over the weekend >< Last edited:
So, if you count Chillin', then she's been in the Top 50 since July, not August.
By the look of things, I was assuming that you were hating her.
Sorry if I sounded aggressive (I really didn't want to) but it just kind of annoys me to read every week. Why is artist X or artist Y remaining in the Top 100/50 when they weren't on the iTunes chart, or why Act X or Act Y has dropped out of the ARIA Top 50 when they were charting in the iTunes Top 50 all week long
People need to understand that iTunes isn't everything cos it 'only' represents 40 % of the digital sales if I'm not wrong. It's a very good indicator though. You have to take into account whether a song has multiple versions available, if it has good music video sales (but that doesn't make such a huge difference) and if it's selling well on other digital outlets but it's much harder to check.
I don't think That Poker Face will still be in the Top 100 this week anyway but who knows.
Dynamite way up to #3 California Gurls slight rebound back into #4, while teenage dream remains at #2..
Closer to the egde (30 seconds to mars) is up to #37, good to see. Beautiful monster into the top 50 at 47, alejandro back up to 49, and dance in the dark has slipped a bit into #56
