Australian becomes the 34th country around the world to make the Puerto Rican singers' Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee along with Canadian pop-star Justin Bieber's track "Despacito" ('Slowly' in English) a No.1 song, as we join other recent chart-topping countries this week like England, Canada and the USA.

"Despacito" becomes the 1063rd No.1 Single in Australia (1940 to 2017), the 1003rd weekly No.1 (since Jan 1949) and the 498th for ARIA (1983 to 2017), plus the second on the Republic (through Universal) label, the first was 54 weeks ago, "One Dance" by Drake (7 weeks from 9th May, 2016). Australia has only had one previous act from Puerto Rico hit the top of the charts, and now this week both Luis and D.Yankee join the first No.1 from there, Ricky Martin ("Cup of Life", 6 weeks from 21st June, 1998) to now have three chart-topping acts from that country. And this becomes the ninth foreign language song to hit the top, the last being "Gangnam Style" by Psy (6 weeks from 1st October, 2012), whilst the last Spanish sung No.1 here was "Macarena" by Los Del Rio (9 weeks from 1st September, 1996), although it could also be true with "The Ketchup Song (Asereje)" by Las Ketchup (3 broken weeks from 14th October, 2002), but that was a Spanglish (Spanish/English) mix moreso.

Justin Bieber now scores his fith No.1 appearance in Australia, becoming now the Canadian artist with the most chart-topping songs here, beating the four achieved by Bryan Adams in the 1990's. He now scored as many No.1 songs here as Louis Armstrong, Olivia Newton-John, U2, George Michael, Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears. JB also replaces himself at the top of the ARIA Singles chart too, becoming only the third act this century to do so, the previous was Macklemore & Ryan Lewis in early 2013, whilst The Black Eyed Peas did it in 2009, prior to which Madonna in 1985 was the last act to knock themselves from the top with another of their own songs.

Justin has also added an extra week to his tally for 'Accumulated Weeks at No.1: Singles; 2010's' and now ranks at equal fifth alongside Macklemore & Ryan Lewis who have also garnered sixteen weeks at the top during this decade. And Justin moves from equal 49th to now equal 43rd on the list for accumualed weeks (overall, 1940 to 2017) alongside Louis Armstrong and Britney Spears (also with five #1's), Tony Bennett (four #1's), Whitney Houston and Shaggy (3 #1's) and Paper Lace (2 #1's). Lastly this is the first time that the word "Despacito" has featured in a No.1 song, and even its English translation (Slowly) has not been at the top here, the highest placing song with that word in it was the mid-2002 No.6 single for Taxiride and "Creepin' Up Slowly".

So last weeks Justin was at No.1 and No.2, and he is again, just swapped around for this week, as for the past two weeks the DJ Khaled track with Justin Bieber, Quavo, Chance the Rapper and Lil' Wayne had been sitting at the top here, and it now slips a place to No.2 and picks up a Gold (●) in sales, whilst the highest of only four Top 100 entries this week comes straight in at No.3, "Malibu" for Miley Cyrus (#1 digital debut, #11 streamed), and it is the first taste of her July due sixth studio album. And by entering so high it becomes her seventh Top 10 single here, and now her second highest charted, as she hit No.2 with "Wrecking Ball" back in late September of 2013 for three broken weeks, plus this is also her first ever song to debut within the Top 10 (Miley's previous highest entry was with "Party in the USA" at No.14 in early September of 2009).

Thanks to his debut self-titled album coming in at No.1 this week, it helps pull up the 1001st weekly No.1 single in Australia for Harry Styles and "Sign of the Times", which rises five places to land at No.4 and is now ▲Platinum, followed by two back-to-back Ed Sheeran tracks in "Galway Girl" (2x▲Platinum) and "Shape of You" (6x▲Platinum), both dropping two places apiece to No.5 and No.6 respectively. The remainder of the Top 10 also drop two places each, with Kendrick Lamar and his "Humble." track down to No.7, Shawn Mendes' "There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back" moving to No.8 (after two weeks at a peak of No.6), Clean Bandit and Zara Larsson and their "Symphony" drops to No.9 (and is now ▲Platinum) and the final pairing in the ten goes to The Chainsmokers and Coldplay with "Something Just Like This" to No.10.

* Also thanks to his debut album entering this week (#27), the Dean Lewis song "Waves" is up three places to a new peak of No.12, and crowned off with a ▲Platinum sales certification.
* Stable at No.13 and newly ▲Platinum are Kygo & Selena Gomez with "It Ain't Me".
* Six weeks ago Future peaked at No.20 with "Mask off", which this week moves back up three places to land at a new peak of No.19.
* Holding their "Moments" at No.25 for a third straight week are Bliss N' Eso.
* Cheat Codes and Demi Lovato climb again to a new peak, up three to No.27 with "No Promises".
* Charlie Puth climbs two chart-rungs with "Attention" for a new peak of No.30.
* Katy Perry's "Bon Appetit" (HP-35) fell in its second chart week, now for its third week it rises back up ten places to No.36, as her new track from 'Witness' (due June 9th) in "Swish Swish" is released on Monday (22nd).
* Rapper Post Malone entered the Top 50 last week with "Congratulations", and now he climbs into the Top 40, up eight spots to a new peak of No.37 as his debut album also enters (#62).
* Harry Styles has two songs within the Top 50 this week, as three weeks ago "Sweet Creatures" entered the Top 100, it now climbs up twenty-one spots to land at No.42.
* Ed Sheeran recently announced his March 2018 national tour, and this has boosted his songs back up the chart this week, with "Castle on the Hill" up one to No.18 and now ▲ Platinum in sales, "Perfect" (51 to 44), "Happier" (65 to 59, now Gold (●), "Dive" (69 to 66, newly Gold (●), "Supermarket Flowers" (77 to 70, also Gold (●), Longest charted song in "Thinking Out Loud" (94 to 74, 127 weeks), "How Would You Feel (Paean)?" (100 to 86), along with three re-entries; "New Man" (#88), "Photograph" (#91) and "What Do I Know?" (#93), giving him a total of twelve songs within the Top 100 this week.
* Imagine Dragons' two entries both fell last week, but both rebound this week with "Believer" blasting back up thirty-nine places to No.53 and "Thunder" is up ten to a new peak of No.58.
* Last weeks entry for Logic and "1-800-273-8255" leaps up thirty-one spots to land at No.64.
* After returning to the chart last week, the Anne-Marie single "Ciao Adios" rises eight to a new peak of No.80.
* The fourth and final returning track to the Top 100 this week is "Hard Times" by Paramore at No.96, which is helped back in by the bands landing a Top 3 debut with their seventh studio album.

* The only song leaving the Top 10 this week is "Stay" (HP-3, WI10-10) for Zedd and Alessia Cara, which is spending only its second weeks outside of the ten, and is down a spot to No.11.
* Bruno Mars might be falling three places to No.15 with "That's What I Like", but it is newly ▲Platinum in sales.
* After debuting at No.11 last week, the second Niall Horan entry "Slow Hands" is down six to No.17.
* Jason DeRulo peaked at No.17 last week with "Swalla", which is down three to No.20, but is newly Gold (●) in sales.

* Martin Jensen returned to his former peak of No.40 last week with "Solo Dance", which drops again, down three to No.43.
* With a new Calvin Harris track entering this week, his older entry "Heatstroke" drops down ten places to No.46 (his last entry "Slide" is down three to No.18).
* With Liam Payne set to join the chart next week, and currently Niall and Harry within the Top 20, first 1D exiter Zayn is down eight this week to No.47 with "Still Got Time", now Gold (●), but will he hold on so that all five members of the band are within the fifty next week?
* Pnau move down six places to No.49 with their "Chameleon" track.

* HAIM returned to our charts last week at No.54 with "Want You Back", which is down seventeen places this week to No.71.

* Migos scores a Gold (●) in sales for "Bad & Boujee", down four to No.95 this week.
* Two final 10+ drops for this week are The Vamps and "All Night" (86 to 97) and "Love$ick for Mura Masa (84 to 98), which picks up a 2x▲Platinum certification.
* Starley and her former No.8 single "Call on Me (Ryan Riback Remix)" leaves the Top 100 from last weeks No.38.

* #40 - Rollin' by Calvin Harris featuring Future & Khalid; Calvin Harris stated earlier in the year that he was not planning on releasing an album this year, but now he has changed his mind, and his fifth set is now due at the end of June entitled "Funk Wav Bounces Vol.1', and his current three Top 50 entries will all be appearing on the new set in "Slide" (TW-21), "Heatstroke" (TW-46) and his new entry at No.40 "Rollin'" featuring rappers Future and Khalid (now his second entry after last weeks guest on the Logic track [TW-64]), and this becomes Calvin's 27th Top 100 and 24th Top 50 entry in Australia.

* #69 - Don't Come Easy (Eurovision 2017) by Isaiah (Firebrace) was the 2017 entrant for Australia at the Eurovision singing/songwriting competition held in Kyiv, Ukraine this year. The winner was (for the first time) Portugal with their lilting love song "Amor pelis dios" by Salvador Sobral. This year we initially finished 4th in the judges voting, but once the viewers votes were included we ended up ninth overall. This song has so far charted in Sweden and Belgium (#50 in both places), whilst Isaiah's also has his debut single "Don't Come Easy" within the Swedish Top 100 at No.86 (peaked #15, Platinum certified). Here 'Easy' is also his second chart entry since he won X-Factor last year.

* #89 - Oh My by Illy feat Jenna McDougall is the fourth single lifted from his "Two Degrees" (TW-86) album and follows on from "Papercuts" (HP-2) and "Catch 22" (HP-11), whilst "You Say When" has so far not hit the Top 100. Overall this becomes his eleventh Top 100 entry in Australia.

The second No.1 album for a solo One Direction member occurs this week, as the self-titled Harry Styles album enters at the top of the ARIA Albums Chart, scoring Gold (●) in sales first week too.

"Harry Styles" becomes the 802nd No.1 Album in Australia (1965 to 2017) and the 653rd for ARIA (1983 to 2017), plus the 446th to debut at No.1 and now the 40th self-titled album to hit the top, the last being Lukas Graham (1 week on 11th April, 2016), with the previous week (4-April, 2016) being the week that Zayn entered with "Mind of Mine". Plus with Harry co-hosting 'The Late Late Show with James Corden' for all of the past week, it has really helped boost his sales, with the album also landing at No.1 in the UK this week.

This becomes the 43rd No.1 for the Columbia record label (their first since Barbra Streisand's "Partners", 5th Sept, 2016) and first album with the word 'Harry' and the second with a 'Style(s)' in it after 28 Days went to the top in late July of 2000 with "UpStyleDown" (1 week). The album also becomes the 151st No.1 album by an English Act (solo, duo or group), the 222nd English performed No.1 album and Harry becomes the 72nd English Act (solo, duo or group) to hit the top and the 28th Solo English Male artist to claim an Australian No.1 album.

Dropping to No.2 for a second time after nine broken weeks at No.1 is the Ed Sheeran album "÷ (Divide)", followed at No.3 by the second of three Top 10 entries this week, the fifth studio album for Paramore entitled "After Laughter". This becomes the bands fifth albums chart entry (four studios and one live set) and first new material in over four years, as their self-titled fourth album hit No.1 on the 15th of April, 2013 (1 week), prior to which they also debuted at No.1 with "Brand New Eyes" (1 week on 5th October, 2009), with their previous entries being "Riot!" (LP#2, HP-47, peaked mid-June 2009, entered early Sept 2007) and their live entry was "The Final Riot!" (HP-38, peaked mid-January 2009).

After peaking at No.2 last week the "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2" soundtrack drops back two places to No.4, whilst also down two spots apiece are Kendrick Lamar with "Damn.", "A Tribute to Mario Lanza" by Mark Vincent and "25" by Adele to numbers five, seven and nine respectively. Rebounding four places to No.6, for its 99th week within the Top 10, is Ed Sheeran's second album "x (Multiply)", and down one spot to No.10 is the Tina Arena "Greatest Hits & Interpretations", with the final Top 10 entry for this week coming in at No.8, "Welcome Home" for the Zac Brown Band, the groups sixth studio album and fourth entry here (three studios and one GH) and now their second Top 10 entry, as their last album "Jekyll + Hyde" debuted and peaked at No.6 in mid-May of 2015, whilst their first entry here was "Uncaged" (LP#4, HP-38, peaked late July 2012).

* With Eurovision on last weekend (12th to 14th of May), the parent album "Eurovision Song Contest 2017; Kyiv" rebounds forty-four places to land at a new peak of No.15, with Australia's entrant Isaiah coming in ninth overall for this year, his song from this album "Don't Come Easy" is new at No.69 this week.
* With Mother's Day sales still falling during three of the last weeks chart days (12th to 14th May), we see a rise for The Ten Tenors' "Wish You Were Here", up eight to No.18 to become the operatic troupes fifth Top 20 album here.
* The soundtrack for the film "Sing" jumps back up fourteen places to No.22 and is newly Gold (●) in sales, whilst the recent MTV Movie Award winning "Beauty & the Beast" stops falling this week and is back up four spots to No.35, with the recent DVD and Blu-Ray release for "Fifty Shades Darker" helping its soundtrack to rise back up nine to No.83.
* Rag'N'Bone Man is back up six spots to No.25 with his debut album "Human".
* Mums might have also recieved the latest James Blunt album "The Afterlove", as it's back up eight spots to No.26, or even "21" by Adele (40 to 33).
* Right before Eurovision kicked off last week, SBS screened an Australian voted for 'Top 40 Best Eurovision Songs' poll, showing the count down the night before the Semi-finals started, with ABBA taking out No.2 with their 1974 entry "Waterloo", which helps the 70's act to re-enter at No.56 with their compilation "ABBA Gold and More".
* Taylor Swift is back up twenty places to No.58 with her "1989" album.
* CDB kicked off a promo campaign this week for their comeback album "Tailored for Now - Eleven R&B Super Jams" (HP-28), which jumps back up twenty-two places this week to No.65.
* Jessica Mauboy's "The Secret Daughter" soundtrack rises back up sixteen spots to No.74.
* On Wednesday (17th May), it was announced that Soundgarden and Audiolsave lead singer Chris Cornell had passed away, which is why the March 1994 No.1 album "Superunknown" for Soundgarden returns to the chart this week at No.78 (with one day worth of sales).
* Further returning albums occur for Fleetwood Mac and "Rumours" (#85), Illy and his former No.1 "Two Degrees" (#86), Lorde and her debut set "Pure Herione" (#90), the Red Hot Chili Peppers' "Greatest Hits" (#91), and Kendrick Lamar with "To Pimp a Butterfly" (#99).

* The first of three albums leaving the Top 10 is "24k Magic" for Bruno Mars (HP-3, WI10-9) down five to No.11, followed by former No.1 "Off the Grid" for Bliss N' Eso (HP-1x1, WI10-2), with last weeks only debut leaving this week also, "Lovely Creatures-The Best of" for Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds (HP-8, WI10-1), which plummets twenty-eight spots to No.36.
* Gorillaz drop down the chart-tree nine rungs to land at No.20 with their "Humanz" set.
* After peaking at No.13 for the past two weeks, the Aled Jones album "One Voice" drops this week eight places to No.21.
* Amy Shark swims down seven spots to No.31 with her debut EP "Night Thinker" this week.
* After landing his first Top 20 album in Australia last weeks (and Canadian No.1 this week), the Chris Stapleton album "From a Room: Volume1" drops twenty-seven spots this week to No.47.
* Another of last weeks entries in "This Old Dog" by Mac DeMArco is down twenty-five to No.48, whilst albums that debuted just above Mac tumble further, with "Afterglow" by Asgeir falling thirty-two places to No.54 and the Kasabian entry of "For Crying Out Loud" is down thirty-eight to No.59.
* Three more plummets from last weeks entrants are "The Water" by San Cisco, down fifty places to No.67, "Everybody" by Logic drops forty-three to No.68 and the biggest drop within the Top 100 occuring for At the Drive-in and "in•ter a•li•a" down a massive fifty-eight spots to land at No.73.

* Leaving the Top 100 from last weeks fifty are Blondie (#29), Pond (#33), Motionless in White (#35) and Green Day (#46, now that their tour is over).

* #17 (LP#4) - The Endless Mile by Dead Letter Circus is the bands first non-No.2 album, as their first three sets all debuted and peaked at No.2, "This is the Warning" (LP#1, May 2010), "The Catalyst Fire" (Aug 2013) and then "Aesthesis" (August 2015), plus they also charted an EP "Stand Apart" (HP-24, Sept 2014).

I'm surprised Harry is only #3 on streamed albums, I actually thought that streaming might have helped him secure the #1 album but it was almost the other way around I get the feeling they're still working out the kinks though, seems odd that Post Malone appears so high out of nowhere when the album's been out since last year. Granted Congratulations is still climbing but I didn't think anyone cared about the rest
The fact that Harry's album only has 10 tracks may not have helped.
True, now that you mention it, the numbers don't quite get there, though the tracks all did around 200K on Spotify, that's nothing when Ed's 6th highest track is doing better than Harry's 3rd highest.

Though it is peculiar that if you add up his numbers on the weekly Spotify chart, that should give him 1,223 streaming points. Was the album not streaming on Apple or has it just not been counted properly I wonder.

For comparison, Ed's Spotify numbers this week are 1,605 streaming points.

Perhaps it's a mistake from ARIA. I mean, Call On Me fell out of the Top 500 this week lol.
I kind of understand how that happened with Call On Me. It's similar to when it dropped straight out from the top 50 the first time. If I understand correctly, its Spotify tag got reverted back some time two weeks ago, and maybe just this week it's been fully *read* as that, except ARIA aren't reading that tag at all (their system is seemingly running through a pre-defined set of track IDs and just checking those in isolation in the data), so it's like it doesn't exist (see also Khalid, Lil Uzi Vert, Maggie Lindemann, French Montana).

In saying this, it is peculiar that it dropped THAT far, considering it's still around #120 on iTunes (and the original version is selling a bit too)
Have noticed Nollsys latest has not charted, any idea of Southern Sky's HP?
No listing within the Top 500 this week for Mr. Noll.
