Another week, another fucking album bomb!

A pretty pathetic excuse for an album at only 7 tracks and a running time of under 24 minutes too.
counterpoint: nonsense like "Culture II" & "Heartbreak On A Full Moon" sets a far worse precedent as artists bloat their tracklistings to hell and back, breaking streaming records with an album that ironically nobody wants to listen to.

(also Kanye's putting out 5 GOOD Music projects in 5 weeks, and he almost died in a car crash due to the exhaustion of the first time he over-worked himself, so it makes sense).

I'm confused about Kanye's songs. All Mine was #3 on Spotify the whole week and #3-4 on Apple Music yet it ended up at #9 on the streaming chart
I am moderately happy. It is nice to see "ye" debut at #1 (upon initial chart publishing too! ). I've had troubles lately committing myself to any one thing for more than half an hour at a time, so this 7 track album has been a nice cozy package to take in, even if it can be hit and miss at times. Stuff like /r/kanye has been a positive influence on me too, as a way to connect to people in similar positions to me, while also being free of the toxic discourse that frequently surrounds his antics elsewhere. Sometimes it just takes one bad meme to brighten up my day.

It is a shame however that ARIA seem to continue to misplace streaming data with no explanation or compensation. There is absolutely no way that a track which was #3 for the week on Spotify and #2 on Apple for a good chunk of the week would only land at #9 on Streaming tracks unless Thursday's (and possibly Wednesday's?) data is missing or just subbed out for data that re-aligns the data to match last week's, hampering new entries arbitrarily. It is frustrating that I cannot rely on our official charts to accurately parse the week's data, and that it doesn't seem to be enough of a concern to warrant a re-think in regards to rushing it out on time.
Can't believe Maroon 5 have gotten their first top 5 hit since One More Night, on debut, with a late post-album single (albeit because of a new version of course, but still).

Had no idea Ghost were big enough for a top 10 album.

I've added this week's ARIA Top 100 Singles chart entries to my site.

Hear them all here - http://top100singles.blogspot.com/2017/12/every-aria-top-100-single-in-2018.html
Perhaps All Mine wasn't performing well on other streaming sites than Apple or Spotify.

Dire Straits' Love Over Gold only had 5 tracks, yet topped the albums chart for 15 weeks.

Shame that The Immaculate Collection couldn't return the chart on the back of the vinyl re-issue

Yeah but I’d imagine that other streaming sites have a very little contribution to the charts
^Yep. Perhaps another ARIA glitch like OTW or Flames...
