Olivia Dean won her first Grammy this past week, plus she creates a few new records as Man I Need maintains a twelfth consecutive week at #1 in Australia.
Man I Need (Capitol) and it's twelve weeks as the top selling single locally becomes the longest running #1 for their record company Capitol (via EMI/Universal), surpassing the eleven weeks achieved pre-ARIA in 1977/78 for the Wings track Mull of Kintyre / Girls' School, while the current #1 also becomes the equal-third longest running chart-topper for this decade, now sitting alongside Miley Cyrus' Flowers (2023) and also the equal-second longest running #1 for a Female Artist this decade, as ahead of them both is Apt for Rosé with Bruno Mars at 14 overall weeks.
Olivia's Man track also becomes the equal-tenth longest running #1 of all time (1940 to 2026) alongside Buttons & Bows for Dinah Shore (1949, pre-ARIA), Lose Yourself for Eminem (2002) and Happy for Pharrell Williams (2014) {plus the aforementioned Flowers for Miley}, plus Olivia still maintains the longest run at #1 for a Solo Female British singer for this century [Vera Lynn had three longer running #1's in the 1940's]. For this decade Olivia's twelve weeks makes her the equal sixth highest tally for this decade, tied with Olivia Rodrigo (with 3 #1's) and Jack Harlow (with two chart-toppers).
Olivia Dean won the GRAMMY for 'Best New Artist' and performed on the night (she also has five BRIT Awards and four MOBO Award nominations recently announced), which could be why she reclaims the #1 Albums spot this week with The Art of Loving for an eighth overall week as the top selling LP, which means she also regains the duopoly on both charts, something which she previously achieved between December 15th and January 19th, now racking up her seventh overall week at top of both charts locally, with the last seen seven-week-duopoly being Ed Sheeran in March to May of 2017 with Shape of You and divide (seven accumulated weeks). Olivia also holds the duopoly in New Zealand for an fourteenth week, with Man I Need their #1 for an 18th overall week, with the song holding its #2 peak in Canada and slipping one spot to #3 in the U.S.
Another feat that Olivia Dean creates this week is holding down the top spots in Australia as her former two-week #4 peaking track So Easy (to Fall in Love) is up two places to a NEW PEAK of #2 this week, the same place it has been lodged in New Zealand for the past eleven weeks, while the song is also at #6 in England and #10 in both The Netherlands (also NEW PEAK) and Ireland. Olivia actually has six Top 10 entries in Australia this week, with two singles and one album on the main charts, plus three Top 10 singles within the On Replay Singles chart too, The Hardest Part (NEW PEAK at #3), Dive (at #8) and Ok Love You Bye (NEW PEAK at #10).
We also have a PEAK HOLD at #3 this week as the RAYE request WHERE IS MY HUSBAND? holds its height for a third straight week, while the song is newly 2x▲Platinum in sales (possibly this high due to the MAFS promo's using the song), also the #1 Hip Hop/R&B Single again too, and sitting at #2 in England and #4 in Ireland, Germany and The Netherlands.
Taylor Swift rebounds one spot to #4 with The Fate of Ophelia, with the song only at #1 in Canada this week (15th week), while losing the top spot in Germany (after 13 weeks), while Alex Warren has the biggest climbing track within the Top 10 as Ordinary is back up five places to #5, which is followed by a RE-PEAK at #6 as 12 to 12 by sombr is up three spots, having previously peaked here on September 22nd and 29th, 2025, with both artists nominated in the 'Best New Artist' category at the GRAMMYS this past week and singing as a part of medley's of their nominated songs.
Djo's End of Beginning is down one spot to #7 this week (#1 On Replay/Catalogue Singles chart), with the third and final non-mover within the Top 10 this week being the Golden Globe (Best Song) and now GRAMMY winning Golden for HUNTR/X at #8, in the category 'Best Song written for Visual Media' (OSCAR's are up next). Reclaiming a Top 10 berth this week is the Dave and Tems track Raindance, up two places to #9, while it also retakes the #1 spot in England (for a second week), while the Disco Lines and Tinashe track No Broke Boys falls three places to #10 (#1 Dance Single).
TOP 20: The only song leaving the Top 10 this week is the Harry Styles track Aperture, which falls ten places to land at #12 (HP-2, WI10-1), with the song seeing a #1 U.S.A. and #4 Canadian entry in the past week. The only other decline here is a two-place slip to #19 for Ravyn Lenae with Love Me Not, while on-hold are I Just Might for Bruno Mars (GRAMMY Performer) and back to friends for sombr at #13 and #14 respectively.
Olivia Dean has another three entries within the Top 20, all of which climb, one in particular has a NEW PEAK, her Sam Fender duet Rein Me in, which trots up four places to land at #16, while Nice to Each Other is up one spot to #11 and A Couple Minutes rises two to #17.
There's a second NEW PEAK here as Ella Langley and her Choosin' Texas track rides into the Top 20 for the first time and corral's the #18 position (it also hits NEW PEAKS in The U.S.A. (#2), Canada (#6), New Zealand (#17), England (#38) and Ireland (#44)), while RE-PEAKING at #20 is the PinkPatheress and Zara Larsson teaming Stateside, previously here on January 26th.
TOP 30: Justin Bieber performed his track YUKON at the GRAMMYS this past week, while his current Top 50 entry DAISIES blooms six places up the chart at #21, while 'Song of the Year' winner went to Billie Eilish and her track WILDFLOWER, with her current entry here BIRDS OF A FEATHER (which she performed at last years ceremony) flies up four places to perch at #25. Smaller rises here are seen by single-spot moves for both Die on this Hill for SIENNA SPIRO (to #24) and 4 Raws for EsDeeKid (to #30), while Olivia Dean takes two Baby Steps to #28.
Falling seven places each are I Run for HVN. and Undressed by sombr to #22 and #23 respectively, while the second of three double-digit-declines this week is the Fred Again.. track Victory Lap, dropping ten places to #26, while there's a five-place fall to #27 for Taylor Swift's Opalite, while Shaboozey continues his slow decline as A Bar Song (Tipsy) is down a single place to #29, with ten weeks left in it's T100 chart life (it's now at 95 weeks within the Top 100).
TOP 40: The seventh and final Top 50 entry for Olivia Dean this week sees her track Let Alone the One You Love rising four places to #31, while GRAMMY performer Sabrina Carpenter, who sang Manchild, rebounds thirteen places to land at #34 with that track. Smaller climbs are seen by Sailor Song for Gigi Perez (up three to #40), I Had Some Help for Post & Morgan (up two to #38) and TIT FOR TAT by Tate McRae, which rises six places to #36, while her two other entries here both drop; Sports Car (down one to #33) and Just Keep Watching (falls two to #39).
Tame Impala's Dracula falls six places this week to #32 (#1 Australian Artists Singles Chart), while a new JENNIE remix of the track was issued on Friday, PLUS he/they won a GRAMMY Award this past week for 'Best Dance/Electronic Recording' for End of Summer. The last two falling tracks here are That's So True for Gracie Abrams (down two to #35) and Die With a Smile for Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars (dips one to #37), with Bruno performing his new song at the GRAMMY's and Gaga performed Abracadabra and won for that song 'Best Dance Pop Recordings', 'Best Remixed Recording' and as 'Producer of the Year' for Cirkut's work on her MAYHEM album, which also claimed the 'Best Album - Vocal' too.
TOP 50: There are five GRAMMY winners or performers in this section, with Lola Young seeing her Messy track scoring the 'Best Solo Pop Performance' award along with her singing the song on stage, the song is up seven places to #45. Holding GRAMMY acts are Kehlani with Folded at #46 (winner for 'Best R&B Performance' and 'Best R&B Song'), along with KATSEYE with Gabriela at #48 (sung Gnarly at the awards ceremony as a 'Best New Artist' finalist).
APT. for Rosé and Bruno Mars dips two places to #43, with the pair performing the song at the GRAMMY Awards, plus it won 'Songwriter of the Year' for Amy Allen too, while another 'Best New Artist' entrant was Addison Rae who sang Fame is a Gun on the night, it drops down this week eight places to #47, while a second eight-place decline goes to the Chrystal track THE DAYS - NOTION Remix to #42.
Luke Combs' latest entry Sleepless in a Hotel Room moves back up three places to #41, with the third and final rising entry here being for Good Luck, Babe! by Chappell Roan who is up one spot to #44. The third and final non-mover in this chart region is a stable Espresso for Sabrina Carpenter at #49, which is followed by the biggest falling track within the Top 50 this week, a twelve place slump to #50 for Tyla's CHANEL. Last week's entry at #24 for Keli Holiday and Dancing2 leaves the Top 50 this week, but it could rebound in a few weeks time once his album is issued next Friday called Capital Fiction.
NEW ENTRY: * #15 - The Great Divide - Noah Kahan (Mercury) is the first taste and title track of the April 24th due fourth album for the American singer-songwriter, which has managed a #1 entry this week in Ireland, along with England (#10), New Zealand (#13) and Sweden (#64) so far. The new track helps his last album Stick Season to take out the #1 spot for the time this week within the On Replay Albums Chart, as well as halving his position to a NEW PEAK of #17 upon the On Replay Singles Chart too, for the album's title track.
Olivia Dean regains her #1 Albums spot for her second set The Art of Loving, clocking an eighth week at the top in Australia.
The Art of Loving (Capitol) regains a third berth as the #1 Album in Australia this week, after two weeks at #2, helped by her scoring the GRAMMY Award for 'Best New Talent' and performing on the night of the ceremony, plus her recent Triple J Hottest 100 #1 slot, and now the top two songs in the country this week, along with the No.3 Vinyl spot, it all adds up to everything going Olivia Dean's way at the moment.
Art's eighth week at #1 also cements the Olivia title as the now third longest running #1 Album for Capitol Records (behind the Romeo & Juliet soundtrack at 9 weeks and Recurring Dream - The Best of by Crowded House at ten weeks), while she also claims an eighth week of duopolies locally too as her single Man I Need retains its top spot for a twelfth week along with seven songs within the Top 31 this week. The Art of Loving is again the top seller in New Zealand (15th week) and Ireland (9th week), and regains the #1 slot in both England (6th week) and The Netherlands (5th week), holds in Canada (#5) and hits a NEW PEAK in The U.S.A. (#3).
The top three albums are all multi-week #1's, as two-place rebounds are seen by both the KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack and Taylor Swift's The Life of a Showgirl to #2 and #3 (No.17 Vinyl) respectively, with the KPop film set picking up a GRAMMY this past week for 'Best Song for Visual Media'. Scoring the highest new entry this week at #4 is the fifth studio album for Don Toliver called Octane (#1 Hip Hop/R&B Album), becoming his first solo Top 10 Album in Australia and third overall after two appearances as a part of JackBoys (2019 #5 and #2025 #3), with his last studio album HARDSTONE PSYCHO debuting and peaking at #16 (June 24th, 2024). The set lands higher in New Zealand (#3) and matches its #4 entry here in The Netherlands, England and Norway along with Lithuania (#5), Ireland (#7) and Germany (#10).
Rising up one spot to #5 is the Tate McRae set SO CLOSE TO WHAT???, while a massive fifty-seven place jump to RE-PEAK at #6 is the fifteen week old release for Lily Allen and West End Girl (63 to #6), which leaps thanks to her album debuting at No.2 on the Vinyl Sales Chart this week (it also jumps in England {94 to #2} and returns in Ireland {#13}, Germany {#20}, New Zealand {#14} and The Netherlands {#34}). Sabrina Carpenter is back-to-back with herself this week, as she rebounds four places to #7 with Man's Best Friend (No.19 Vinyl) after seeing it's first (and only) week outside of the Top 10 last week, while her Short N' Sweet set is right behind and up one spot to #8. Also regaining a Top 10 placement is the Alex Warren set You'll Be Alright, Kid which is up three to #9 (WI10-25), while the first of four non-movers within the Top 50 occurs at #10 for the sombr set I Barely Know Her.
TOP 20: Within the Top 20 there are only two declining entries, meaning eighteen albums are rising, with second biggest drop within the Top 50 this week being last week's #1 entry for the self-titled Megadeth album (HP-1, WI10-1) which this week falls eighteen places to #19, while it debuted at #1 this past week in The U.S.A. too, plus the other faltering set here is the USB for Fred Again.., down two places to #18. Single place rises are seen by a NEW PEAK at #13 for last week's Rebel entry for EsDeeKid along with I'm the Problem for Morgan Wallen (to #14, #1 Country Album) and HIT ME HARD & SOFT by Billie Eilish (to #16, GRAMMY winner 'Song of the Year').
Ocean Alley continued their post J100 rise with their Love Balloon set this week by jumping ten places to #12, thanks also to the set being issued on Vinyl, landing at No.5 on that chart this week, while also securing the #1 Australian Artists Album Chart pinnacle too. Ed Sheeran's Perth shows help boost his Play set up nine places this week to #15 (No.9 Vinyl), while the biggest rise here this week goes to the GRAMMY winner for 'Album of the Year', Bad Bunny with DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS, up nineteen places to land at #20 (HP-16), with the BB also winning 'Best Musica Urbana Album' and 'Best Global Music Performance' this past week.
TOP 30: Reneé Rapp sees her BITE ME set jump up nine places this week to land at #27 (No.11 Vinyl), with the only other rising set here being the ROLE MODEL Kansas Anymore album, up two to #29, while the non-mover here is the BRAT album for Charli XCX at #26, while her new album drops next Friday, the music for the film Wuthering Heights (which also opens in cinemas next week).
The two final Top 10 dropouts fall into the Top 30 this week, with the A$AP Rocky album Don't be Dumb (HP-5, WI10-2) down thirteen places to #21, while last week's other Top 10 debut for the Louis Tomlinson album How Did I Get Here? (HP-3, WI10-1) is the week's biggest fall within the fifty, dropping a quarter of the chart, down twenty-five places to #28.
The GRAMMY winner for 'Best Pop Vocal Album' went to Lady Gaga's MAYHEM, which is only down two places to #30 this week, as is The Tortured Poets Department for Taylor Swift to #25. Gracie Arbams slips three places to #24 with The Secret of Us, while continuing their back-to-back decline are Zach Bryan's With Heaven on Top (#1 in Canada for a third week) and The Kid LAROI and BEFORE I FORGET, each down four places each to #22 and #23 respectively.
TOP 40: The only rising set here is from GRAMMY performer Justin Bieber and his SWAG I + II set, up twelve places to land at #37, while GRAMMY winner Tyler, the Creator for 'Best Album Cover' for his CHROMOKOPIA set is only down two places to #35, while Sleep Token dip three places to #40 with Even in Arcadia.
Madison Beer's locket falls eleven places to land at #31, after which are three albums which all fall seven places each, If That Makes Sense for Spacey Jane, Sex Hysteria by Jessie Murph and Deadbeat by GRAMMY winner (Best Dance/Electronic Recording) Tame Impala to #32, #34 and #36 respectively. Royel Otis falls six places to #38 with their hickey set, while Ariana Grande sets five more places to #39 with her eternal sunshine album.
TOP 50: Two of the four climbing sets here are due to GRAMMY winners, with nine-time nominee and five-time winner Kendrick Lamar's GNX up four places to #41, winning most notably 'Best Rap Album', while Jelly Roll's Beautifully Broken is back up five places to #48, winning for 'Best Contemporary Country Album'. The two other climbers are the PinkPantheress mixtape Fancy That (up three to #45) and $ome $exy $ongs 4 U by PartyNextDoor and Drake (up two to #50).
The two final non-movers this week sees the Post Malone set F-1 Trillion and Calvin Harris's best of 96 Months stable at #42 and #47 respectively, while Djo's The Crux dips one spot to #44 with the deluxe edition of the title (24 tracks from 12 on the original) getting a physical release on Friday, so it could rebound next week. Falling sets here are I Love My Computer for Ninajirachi (down five to #43), Addison for Addison Rae (falls six to #46) and People Watching for Sam Fender (dropping eight places to #49).
FURTHER NEW ENTRIES: * #4 (LP#5) - Octane - Don Toliver (Cactus Jack/Atlantic)
* #11 (S/T) - Stranger Things Season 5 - Soundtrack (Sony Music) was initially issued online on January 1st, right after the final episode dropped, and now thanks to a physical release the music from the final season of the Netflix Series sees it's soundtrack also debut No.1 on the Vinyl Chart this week. The music features songs from the two periods the series is set in, the late 50's with tracks from The Chordettes, The Crew Cuts and Floyd Cramer's version of Heart & Soul, along with 80's classics from Tiffany, Psychedelic Furs, David Bowie, Iron Maiden, Pixies, Yello, Butthole Surfers and Cowboy Junkies along with and ABBA and Michael Jackson 70's track. A new animated 1985-set series is due to drop in April, so maybe another soundtrack could appear in a few months time.
* #17 (LP#2) - Wound Up - Radium Dolls (Radium Dolls/AWAL) is the second album and now first entry for the Brisbane four-piece punk act who also land at No.8 on the Vinyl Chart. The band formed in 2019, issuing their first two EP's in 2020 and 2023, with their first studio album Legal Speed issued in March of 2024, while a live version of the album was released in August of that year.

After 10 weeks missing, "We Are The People" is back on the On Replay charts! It re-enters the Australian version at a new peak of #5 (previous run: 10-8-8-7-9-7-7-8-7-11-9-9), and debuts on the overall version too, at #34. (It had probably come close previously, as twice when it was #7 Australian, the #6 song was in the overall top 50.) (It is an odd coincidence that it disappeared for exactly 10 weeks, and that those 10 weeks almost line up with "Alive" being rejuvenated (this is its 10th week).)
Olivia Dean's "The Hardest Part" climbs back up to the #3 peak it reached in early December (run: 20-11-11-11-11-18-13-16-12-16-14-8-3-9-11-12-46-9-7-6-5-4-3), back then behind "Iris" and "Lose Control" but now behind "End Of Beginning" and "Lush Life". Her "Dive", which reached #4 that week too, merely holds at #8, but "Ok Love You Bye" climbs to a new peak of #10. Presumably due to Noah Kahan releasing a new song, "Stick Season" climbs from #34 to a new peak of #17. Dominic Fike's "Babydoll", his 1:37-long 2018 EP track that became popular in 2023 (peaking at #62 on the singles chart in October 2023), debuts at #45.
The Australian version mostly reverses last week's Australia Day climbs - in fact, The Kid LAROI's 2 songs have literally gone 17-28-17 and 20-38-20. Empire Of The Sun's "Alive" is back in at #41, and Sia has 3 re-entries, but with "Unstoppable" (which hadn't charted since November) rather than "Chandelier" (which was charting 2 weeks ago). Not the best week for Crowded House, as their lower 2 entries both drop out, and though "Don't Dream It's Over" is still #1, it's only 1 spot ahead of "Riptide" on the overall On Replay singles chart.
Noah Kahan reaches #1 on the On Replay albums chart for the first time (he had been #2 behind "Rumours" 3 times in January). "Good Girl Gone Bad" reaches a new peak of #4. Olivia Dean's "Messy" (which includes "The Hardest Part" and "Dive" but no other charting songs) re-enters at #41.
On the Australian version, "Whispering Jack" debuts at #37, probably from sales as it's currently #9 on iTunes and has received publicity this week relating to a "Whispering Jack" musical, starring Michael Paynter, who released an EP called "The Great Australian Songbook, Vol. 1 (Live)" this week that reached at least #2 on iTunes (if not for this context, I'd definitely be questioning which "Burn For You" is on it!). John Farnham's "Greatest Hits" (which I assume incorrectly has streaming counting towards it on this chart) is also currently #5 on iTunes, and reaches a slight new peak of #3 on this chart. This week's ambiguously-titled Wiggles debut ("The Wiggles", at #45) holds the catalogue number of a 1998 reissue of their 1991 debut album.
I need to see how it looks a few weeks from now. It looks good at the moment because we're at the zenith of two big momentum jolts, but I thought there was a big downward trend globally 2 weeks ago that's just being hidden. Always feels like there are limits to how sustainably you can have 2 million streams a week.
Not that it matters when you're almost doubling your closest competition of course, but it would more readily allow the next "Aperture" equivalent to stick the landing a bit better if the margin was a little smaller.
The ARIA appearance and show she did i would personally say was right place, right time, definitely right time. That helped her go to #1 whereas if she hadn't performed she might have been at #2 for maybe 2 more weeks before slowly dropping down. The H100 appearance also helped. I agree with IE it'd be nice to see it break Dance Monkey's record but i can't see it getting to 20 weeks although i have been wrong many times in the past
Yep making this kind of prediction always is a bit risky There can always be that big hit that comes out of nowhere or a big act who releases a highly anticipated song.
However, with Valentine's Day and The Brit Awards coming later this month, I can see it stick at the top for at least 5-6 weeks and, then drop very slowly in streams. The only possible threat at the moment IMO is Ella Langley's Choosin' Texas. Won't be surprised if it eventually gets to No. 1 in a few weeks.
If it comes to it, I'll have to be the first to note that there's a quirk in the proceedings. Tones and I lost a week at #1 to Mariah Carey, Olivia Dean got to have that same week, could matter here
