There's something oddly deceptive about teen-pop which is covering teen-pop from earlier generations. It's almost like the record executives are having a laugh in the background at their daggy icons getting another run via the kids who'd instantly spit it out if they knew what was going on.

Vocally this is not irredeemable but it gets stuck momentum-wise a bit too often and thus the cathartic nature of the hook from the original doesn't really carry through. Production isn't the sharpest either, but I guess I had a little bit of fun hearing it and thinking up this review. 2.3
