I am so relieved this is not the Silverchair of today. This is Nirvana wannabe-ness

Very americanized, sounds a lot like Nirvana.
****

Awesome debut single!

Classic track, one of their best!
******
Awesome track! This is the best performance by any teenagers I've heard, as compared to teenagers these days.

A good old one from Silverchair .
****
Great start, especially considering their age at the time, they just kept getting better for me.
****
Actually very good and has earned its place in the history books. Just not my favourite genre. 4.3*
****
Never knew much about this song, except that it was a #1 hit. Good song for a band that was so young at the time.
****
4 stars
***
Average and overrated. Good track for it's time I guess.
***
It's not too bad but to me it feels like it's trying too hard to have that grunge sound and because of it it kind of sounds a bit dated. Does have some enjoyable moments but I prefer some of their others. Better than "Freak" but not as good as "Straight Lines".

Really cool start to an impressive run for these young Aussie's.
****
Good song. I guess I prefer "Straight Lines" but this is quite good.
